Help! Buffalo wing bones!

My bf was eating buffalo wings and got up to get a napkin and wasn't paying attention and Meeko got a bone and swallowed it before we could grab him. What should I do? Just pray it passes ok? Get some peroxide and try to make him vomit? I'm kinda freaking out, I know they should have bones! I don't have peroxide so I need to know ASAP if I need to run to CVS to get some. I don't see any parts around so he ate a whole bone. He's not tiny tho, he's about 12 lbs. I just don't know if he'll be able to pass it.

If he's not acting like it's bothering him then I would just keep an eye on him. If you notice any problems then I'd call a vet and see what they have to say. More than likely it went down just fine and won't cause any problems.

Ok thanks for your quick response. I'm just freaking out a little. I'm going to keep a very close eye on him all night till his next bowel movement.

If the bone didn't make him choke then he should be ok.
There should be an emergency vet you can contact at any time and get advice over the phone from. Just a lil FYI since it sounded like you were pretty scared about it

I guess you will just have to wait and see if it passes okay.
I'd personally call the vet for reassurance and so they could tell me what to watch for.

Inducing vomiting with peroxide is one of those things that you have to be very careful with. With some things, it can cause more damage. When you aren't 100% sure you should be using it, the vet should make the call.

Yes, I'd wait for it to pass. I'd keep a VERY close eye on it to make sure there is no sign of blood in the stool.
