I would definitely get your pup checked out. That sounds exactly like my shihtzu puppy. He would walk a little bit and have to lay down. We went on a long walk one day and he had to stop about 5 times. He was 10 weeks old so I thought that he was just a puppy and was getting tired. We had been at the vet two weeks before for shots and all was well. Well two days after that walk we woke up in the morning to find he had passed away. After doing research online and speaking with a vet I believe it was his heart. I didn't have a vet check for sure because I didn't want to put the lil guy threw that, he was 10 wks and 2.5 lbs. I just thought he was way to little to be cut up :( Please get your baby checked out!! |
Could you tell us what you found or find out? I am curious also. I have a little guy named Wheelie Boy Babybear and he fell over a few times. But he has Atlantoaxial Instability. It is a congenital defect in the C-1 and C-2 vertebra. And it can be very serious the only way to find out if this is what it is, is to have a digital x-ray or MRI done. I would check on ears first though. The AAI(Atlantoaxial Instability) will cause them to fall over also, do flips act weird, walk sideways etc. I will keep on checking back to see what you found out. Hope it is just a simple little thing like a ear infection. |
My Baby Girls is a little slow but the vet says its nothing serious i just need to give her a little extra TLC which i already do. I want to thank everyone for all their help and support. Gypsy and i appreciate everything. =] |
So what is wrong with her? The vet just said she is a " little slow "? That doesn't sound very professional to me :confused: how did the vet determine this? |
Yea she is still running tests. But it seems like she was hurt as a puppy or born with it. Did i mention that i saved her from a puppy mill? So any number of things could have happened to her as a pup? But as soon as i have a definate answer i will let you know. |
Hi Carly, Have you found anything else about ur baby? My little maltese is only a little over 2 lbs, she is 5 months and intially she was pretty lathargic. She also seemed out of it. The vet also told me that she was a little slow. I had to force feed her for a bit there tons of Nutrical. Now she seems very alert, but she bumps into everything.... :( Does your baby bump into things? |
