Odd bumps all over Piper? HELP PLEASE - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Hey everyone, i recently went outta town and when i came home, Piper had all these little bumps on her front legs and her neck and chest area, and i even found some on her head between her eyes. Now i havent found a tick on her in a while and she has medicine on her to keep them off, so i dont know what to think. They dont seem to bother her but im worried. They look almost like pimples, could they be bites?? Please let me know..im scared for her.

Do you think that the bumps could be a result of the tick?? I'm still new to this yorkie stuff so I'm sorry I can't really answer your questions.

Thats what im thinking, they look like the on she has had before but i cannot find a tick anywhere. Could it be like ant bites?

Ants or fleas - check her very carefully and you may want to see the vet...I would

I suspect fire ants if you are in Florida. My son's dog got into a patch of them and it looked like he had little pimples.

She is due for a vet appointment ne ways for shots so when she is there ill have them take a look. I hope there is nothing seriously wrong

i could be wrong but i think it may be fire ants? my grandma lives in fla and her poodle had bumps all over her tummy, and the vet said it was because of fire ants.

Make sure you do a search for Pyoderma (at the bottom of the page - do a Google search on this site only) - and make sure it's not that, as it can really get nasty.

Btw, be VERY cautious about getting any shots if she is having some sort of immune response via her skin. Anytime a health issue may be going on, you never, ever should get a vaccine at the same time.

doctor never said ne thing about them. We moved out of that apartment and they haven't re-appeared. Im thinking ants or possibly ticks since she did have those too.
