| Bloody Discharge My 5 month old 2lb. female yorkie has had a bloody discharges. I seen it when she did her poopy job. Does anyone know what it may be? Thanks for your help... |

| was her poop soft? had she eaten anything different? what food is she eating? how much blood would you say there was.... was it noticable without really having to look at it (Being yorkie moms we TEND to look at our dogs poop very carefully ) |

| She has not eaten anything differnt...the blood was like on the end of the poop like about a 1/4 of an inch and the poop started out really soft then seemed to get harder... So sorry about this, kinda seems gross but Iam not sure what it is... |

Well if it started out soft her tummy was probably upset by something (who knows what) and sometimes when they have upset tummies, it agravates the lining in their intestines which might bleed a little.. this is usually common with diarrhea or soft poop. But if it ended hard then i'm sure it was a one time thing. Is she eating/drinking/playing normally? If so then i'm sure her poop tomorrow will be just fine. If there is still blood in it tomorrow.. bring the poop sample into the vet... she could have something that might need to be treated.. but chances are it was just an upset tummy | |

| Thanks so much...I was going to watch it tomorrow but I never thought of keeping some for a sample...she is so tiny I worry about everything...I raised one for 15 years and had never seen this... Thanks again... |
