I don't know anything about fundraising, but at the University of Tennessee it costed around $1,600.00 for everything they did for my Gizmo. I know that is still alot of money, but not quite like $3,000.00-$5,000.00. Vinny will be in my prayers. |
I'm so sorry about Vinny. I know how much a part of our lives they become. I hope you are able to raise the money to get his surgery and he gets healthy. Let us know how it goes. |
Sweet Tiny Vinny Thank goodness that Vinny has you. If you remain calm around him, it'll reassure him and comfort him. Good Luck. We're praying for your baby. |
if you look at it real good the web page all they ever say is worm dipped ,what kind of rescue is that |
Hi Katie, I really hope Vinny is doing better and better each day. I wonder if there is even a way to donate airplane miles or something to you two to take Vinny for his surgery. Anyway, sending hugs and good wishes your way. Cheryl |
Help: I have called a lot of the orignations or e-mailed the sites you guys have been sending me. So far either no response to e-mail or they want to actually take my little vinny in. Some have offered me helpful advise however. I am trying to figure out a way for the university of Tennessee to work. Taking time off work and air fair is the hardest part so far however if we do raise this money we should easily get enough for that :D |
oh and PS: He is actualy doing better he runs around now... but falls over often and can't beiging to even crawl on a blanket to lay down and when he runs it's like he wants to be walking but once he gets going his little legs don't stops he kinda stumble runs. Howver we are vrey proud of him. :) |
I know it would be extremely difficult but if someone else can afford to give him the care he needs & you cannot, you probably should seriously consider their offer. As for fund raising, I think it would better to allow donations for Vinny's benefit to be made directly to the Univ. of Tenn. Prayers for a complete recovery and a long & happy life for little Vinny, Quote:

How's Vinny doing today? I hope he is getting better and better. He looks SO cute! When he's healthy and feeling up to it, it'd be fun to have him meet my Piper, as she's just a bit older than he is. Wow...if there is a way to set up some sort of fund where donations can be made directly to University of Tenn., that would be so wonderful. I mean, part of making a donation to help someone take care of a pet that you don't personally know is to make that donation process as easy as possible and also as "legitimate" as possible. Now-a-days there are so many sneaky things that go on over the internet that the person donating the money really wants to feel that they are not taken to be a sucker. Unfortunately for the honest people who are genuinely in need and trying to do what is best during a difficult time, the burden does end up being on them to prove that the money is really going to what they say it is. Which is cruel and not fair, but it is the reality in these times. The cool thing about the University of Tenn. idea is that you could then put the post on multiple Craig's lists, not just the Seattle one, just to get a bit more interest! |

I just wanted to say that Vinny is absolutely adorable, he is so handsome and has the cutest little face, I would just love to cuddle him, he looks so cuddly!!:) You are a very kind hearted person to open your heart and home to him and take him in, I know how it is, I was tricked into getting a dog recently also and seems that every week there is something new wrong with my little baby, but you get so attached that you can't help but love them and try to do all you can for them. Stay strong and remember he at least has a chance to be happy now! |
Any update on little Vinny?? |
