| Help!!! Please help! I bought my yorkie around 3 weeks ago and she is about 5 months old now. I was just playing with her and found a dry patch of skin by her neck. It's a bit bigger than a quarter and it seems kind of scabbish here n there. I found some other scabby parts on her body but not a patch like the one on her neck. I'm so scared and I have no idea what it is!! PLEASE HELP ME!!! Last edited by j3nnyyx3; 10-02-2008 at 11:42 PM. |

| Take her to your vet! No one can diagnose a skin condition over the internet. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | She may have ring worm. It's a fungal infection cleared up with ointment. You'll need to take her to the vet. Btw, you can catch this from her.

| It does sound like ringworm! The vet will take a scraping and then put a Wood's Lamp test and the spot will shine bright if it is ringworm!! Good luck!!

| Sounds exactly like what my cat had with ringworm. Vet time! And if you need further reason to go to the vet, you can catch it from your fur kid!

| Sounds like ringworm to me too but it could also be a skin infection from yeast or bacteria or even mites or mange or allergies. Doesn't sound like a hot spot though. The vet will be able to treat her really easily.. And, humans can catch ringworm from our pets so be careful. Good luck; She will be fine. |
