| kitchen counter buffet What a day we had!! Yesterday I was off work, but I left Merlot home while I ran some errands for about an hour. When I returned there was 3 piles of vomit and 2 huge piles of very loose poop in the living room. Merlot never goes potty in the house, so I knew something was wrong. Plus I didn't know how so much stuff came from inside his little body. He was acting his normal excited self, so I couldn't figure out what happened. When I went to the kitchen for cleaning supplies I saw that a pan of oil I had on the stove was licked clean! There was about 1 1/2 cups in there of veggie oil and it was all gone. Apparently he jumped up on the counter and went to town. I immediatly called the vet and he said not too worry if he's acting normal. Best he could tell it had all came right out. All the rest of the day and morning he was a pooping machine. The dog walker said that he must be as clean as a whistle inside!! Has your pups ever done anything like this? |

| Im relieved to hear that nothing serious happened to Merlot, whew!! My heart skipped a beat for a moment reading your thread. As of yet I don't think Schatzie has "stolen" any food yet...(Knock on wood) Maybe Merlot will have a real shiny coat from all the oil ??

| My Chizzie has learned that if one of the chairs around the breakfast or dining room table is not pushed all of the way in she can jump up on the table and have her way with whatever. The only problem is ....... she WILL NOT jump down again!!! LOL And I get such a guilty "I DIDN'T MEAN TOO, IT JUST HAPPENED" look, so how can you be tough with that? I have learned to be VERY careful about what goes on the table. Geez, you wouldn't think you would have to Yorkie-proof areas that are 3' high! |

| I just have to know; how big is your yorkie? How old is he and how much does he weigh? My yorkie sometimes misses the sofa, and that is only a couple of feet high! Maybe your yorkie should try out for the Yorkie Olympic Team. All in all, it is a relief that everything is OK with him now. |
