| Low blood platlet count Lola had vomiting for over 48 hours and I took her to the vet. In the course of blood work it was noticed that she had a low blook platlet count. It seems that she had an adverse reaction to her adult vaccinations which she had a few days prior. The Rabies and Distemper are now good for 3 years, but they said next time she should may not be able to have shots. The put her on medication first for the vomiting and then for the blood level because the medication for the blood could make her vomit. It has been 4 days and she is finally in the clear. She was so listless for a few days and I had to watch her that she was quiiet until her platlet count went up. She is almost back to normal playing with her toys and we even took her for a short walk today. (she goes to the bathroom on pads). We have started giving her small amount of her regular diet again. She was on intravenous for a day. Has this every happened to anyone? morrislaz |

| I have never had it happen to us, but I have heard of it happening before. Usually the vet will give a letter to you so your baby will never need shots again.
