| Help please, Very concerned! Our dog peanut has been acting very weird today since out neighbor started putting down fertilizer.(Pellet based) I was outside in the year with him, then came in to grab my dinner, my mom went back out with him and tossed the ball came back in and sat down with him in her lap. A few moments after i finished eating i hear my mom yell to me, "He's not acting right" and she noticed our neighbor starting to put down fertilizer . He has not come in contact with it mind you. He began pacing back and forth in the garage, going upstairs and not wanting to come down, stopping and trying to listen intently like focusing in on something, and trying to get up onto place he hasn't ever tried to before. My sister picked him up and left with him but will be coming back later tonight, my mom, sister, her boyfriend and I all see his behavior has changed. Any help or incite would be appreciated. |

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | I would definitely watch him closely for anymore reactions. I would also definitely call the emergency number @Vet for advice. They will be able to tell you what to look for & what side effects the ingredients could cause. You never know if he came in contact with the fertilizer or not. It's possible the fertilizer flew out and could have fallen in your yard. These babies always investigate these things too. My furbaby is like a vacuum cleaner for all these type things & we have to be extremely cautious. Keep us posted & I hope he will be ok!

| You sure its not some thing else, maybe he hurt him self when playing ball, pulled a muscle or some thing. I know when my two are hurting they try and go places to hide they normally dont go. and my Minnie will just pace. even when shes sick at her tummy she will pace. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My Pixie had a reaction to fertilizer last summer as we didn't know the lawn care people fertilized the lawn. She was acting really strange, walking funny and stumbling. I took her to the ER vet and they did tests because I didn't know at the time about the fertilizer. SHe started to come out of it at the er and they prescribed something for motion sickness to help with her strange walking. It wasn't until 2 days later I found out about the fertilizer. She had no lasting effects. Hope you baby is ok.

| Some pet will want to hide when they feel sick.. so keep on watching him closely. And make sure he is drinking a lot of water to clean out his system. Hope it is nothing serious. |

| This is exactly what happened to our Mailee on Sunday. They sprayed malithon(SP) for mosquitoes on Sunday morning and she licked repellent off of my husbands arm...then all "stuff" broke loose and her whole world went upside down. She started doing crazy things that she had never done before. Two vets, a shot of valium and antibiotics and $250.00 later...she just stopped the crazy behavior and has been fine for the past two days. Don't know if it is related, but I am like you, things just seem too weird not to be connected!!! Hope it is nothing serious, we will keep your furbaby in our thoughts!!! |

| Well It's morning and he still is acting off, I really am trying to suggest to my mom to take him to the vet but she wont because she doesnt believe that he came into direct contact with the fertalizer. |

| If he was tossing the pellets near your fence while your dog was still out that could very well be it. He really needs to see the vet. Keep us posted.

| I hope your poor li'l guy is ok. Roxy gets super strange if I put any flea meds on her. She paces for 2 to 3 days - won't let me near her, won't eat, won't stay still - acts really strange. After the 3rd time, I said no more chemicals on her. Maybe he got ahold of something in the house. I'll keep him in my prayers.

| If he is "acting off" I would definately try to talk Mom in to a trip to the vet. Even if he didn't come into physical contact with the fertilizer, he could have easily ingested some of the fertilizer dust that was airborn. |
