Rosie Was Attacked!!! My sister took her out to potty and 2 other dogs all the sudden attacked her. They were all on leashes. The owner of the other two dogs just asked if she's ok and my sister said I don't know. The lady then JUST WALKED AWAY! Rosie was screaming real loud and my sister had blood on her hands, but the lady WALKED AWAY! I can't believe it! I'm so mad. I wasn't home, which I'm glad I wasn't because I don't think I could handle hearing her scream. When my sister called me at work I asked her if it's bad and she said she thinks it's just a cut. I called the vet and they said to use iodine. Then my sister called back and said it might be deep but she couldn't tell underneath all the fur. We decided to take Rosie to the vet, which I'm glad cuz she needed 5 stiches. She has to stay over night which is killing me. Anyways, sorry for the long post. I'm so glad she'll be fine and she only needed stiches. |
Do you know who the lady is? Watch for her, get her name and report her to animal control. Those dogs are vicious. Poor little Rosie. I hope she is OK and not scared half to death to go outside and be around other dogs. The gal also owes you $ for the vet visit. |
I am so sorry to hear about this. I hope Rosie does ok. I can not believe the woman just left like that. Do you know who she was? I would have her paying vet bills. |
I would try to find the lady and make her pay the vet bill. Of course if it was me I would do more than that but I'm like a tiger with her cubs when it comes to my babies!! |
OMgosh, I am so sorry about your little Rozie being attacked!!! Soooo happy that she will be ok. You should find that woman that has no sense of decency and get her to pay the bill for your little girl! How could she just walk away? I can't say anymore, as my words would not be very nice about what I think of a person like that :(:(:mad: |
that poor baby! I'm sorry she has to stay the night and I hope she's feeling better by tomorrow. I've been in your shoes....make sure that woman pays your Vet bills. |
I remember little Rosie from our meetup. She is sooo tiny! I'm really glad she wasn't hurt worse. What a horrible lady to just walk away like that! I think she should pay the vet bill as well, I'm wondering if that is why she didn't stick around  Get well soon little Rosie :getwellso |
I am so glad to hear that Rosie will be okay. It is almost scary to take our little ones outside for fear of something like this happening. I am sure glad that the other dogs were on leashes otherwise it may have been worse. Hugs & prayers for you and Rosie. ........and yes, the woman definitely needs to compensate you for your vet bills.... at the very least. |
I am so sorry this happened to your baby. I am so glad little Rosie will be ok. As a responsible pet owner.. that lady should definately pay all vet bills and any after care needed. Shame on her for just walking away. You should also contact animal control. They need to be aware of what happened. Hopefully you can find out who she was. My thoughts and prayers for Little Rosie, you and your sister. Hugs, Bobbi |

I couldn't edit my post, but I wanted to say I'm sorry I spelled your Rosies' name wrong :), my girls name is Rozi :p so I am used to spelling it with a Z. lol Get well soon little Rosie!! |
OMgosh, Saba! I'm glad Rosie wasn't too badly hurt! :( Please give her a big hug and kiss from me and one for you too! |
Poor Rosie girl! What a loser. I cant believe she just walked away. Hugs baby girl |
This makes me so mad!!!! I feel so bad for your little dog. What kind of dog was it? these were someone's neighborhood dogs? I would try to find out who it was. The dogs who hurt your Yorkie might be dangerous... What if anther dog gets hurt by the same dogs? Or a little child? Shame on the woman for just walking away:( |
I live in an apartment complex, so I won't have a hard time to find her. I'm calling animal control to find out if I need papers or proof to make her pay. I really don't want to get her in trouble nor do I want her dogs put to sleep. I just want her to pay for the bills. I hope she'll work with me. I always thought of her as a responsible owner. She would go across the street when she sees us so her dogs won't bother mine. When I found out she walked away made me mad and realize she's not as responsible as I thought. My poor baby. It makes me so sad thinking how much pain she was in. |

this post makes my nerves shake! The thought of someone just walking off when your dog bites another dog! UNREAL! |
I'm so sorry! I hope she heals quickly. How sad. :( |
This is so sad to hear.. I am sorry for what happened to rosie..I also think your sister needs to watch to see this woman.. and have her reported.. if her dog did this once it will happen again.. what good are leads if they are not controlled... again I am sorry.. I would be freaking also.. anne |
When Gracie was a puppy, on one of her first days out at the park, she was attacked by a Chi. No blood shed. The Chi was off leash (in a leash only park), and the guy just stood there and watched, then said "He doesn't like puppies much". I was so angry if I had a shot gun I would have..... I told him there is a leash law, picked up Gracie and left. Anyway, I can relate. That lady needs to be taught what responsible pet ownership is. |
This is just why I worry about having Banjo out!! I cannot believe she could not control those 2 on a leash!! And then to walk off! Well, talk about lack of manners! but the main concern is that Rosie is alright! I am so sorry this happened to your girl- and it should not of happened!! Prayers for her to heal fast!! Hugs to you both!! and hope you find that lady to pay for the vet bills!!! |
THis kind of thing is happening much too often and I think if we had stricter laws it would help. I'm so sorry to hear this and I know how heart breaking it is to have to leave her overnight. Bless her heart. |
Poor baby. How irresponsible of that other owner. |

Your poor little baby. I feel so sorry for her. And I cannot imagine how you felt on the other end of the phone. I'm glad she'll be ok, but that shouldn't have happened to begin with. That woman should control her doggies. |
Oh poor Rosie! I hope she gets better ASAP and for those other dogs I'd would call animal control and also hand over the vet bill to the dogs owners! |
Awh I'm sorry... I cant imagine being away from my little one especialy after what happend. Hope your baby gets better real soon. As for the owner shame on her!!:thumbdown |
You must call animal control She lives in an aparment and needs to know there are problems when you dont control your pet and she needs to pay the bills that she would walk away she was only worried about her own you know what muzzle her pets on her walks |
UPDATE: Rosie is fine...looks pitiful but fine:) They'll take her stitches out on the 25th. I called animal control all they can do is talk to her about how to walk her dog. Like I said before she usually goes across the street to avoid any conflict. I don't think she saw my sister and Rosie because they were in between cars. I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and think that she went to put the dogs up then come see if Rosie is ok (or I hope that's why she walked away). I really don't know her story yet. After work, I'm going to find the apartment she lives in and talk to her. I haven't tried asking for the money yet, so who knows she might work with me. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks for the get well wishes. I'm sure she'll be good ole Rosie in no time. |
I am so sorry to hear about the attack on Roise! Jack was attacked like 2 weeks ago maybe longer. I went to a friend's house because she had just gotten a 1 year old dog, Jack Russel Terrier. They adopted him so I guess I assumed, and wrongly, that he would just fine with other dogs. Well he immediately advanced on Jack. But the scary part was I was sitting up a few stairs WITH JACK ON MY LAP and she had her dog on her lap down a few stairs and before I even knew what was happening he grabbed Jack by the fur on his face and began to shake him about in the air. It seemed like the dog had settled down and was just fine. But no. I got Jack away and thankfully he had long fur otherwise it could have been bad. Had her dog done damage I would have made her pay for vet bills, even though she was my friend. And I am not impressed with the way her fiance treats that dog when it misbehaves. I didn't report it but if I see him treat that dog that way again, I will. I hate that people don't really even pay attention to how their dogs react to other dogs and to keep them away! I am so glad that Rosie is okay. I hope it doesn't deter her from wanting to meet other dogs or going outside. I would make that lady pay for the bills. Who just walks away? Well I guess I know who would. My friend's fiance also laughed histerically when he heard their dog attacked Jack. He said something along the lines, "well he probably thought it was a moving stuffed toy like his rabbit. I don't blame him for wanting to play. They were breed to kill." Some people are just down right sad. I was so pissed when he said that. Some people need to be taught what responisible ownership is about. Good luck with Rosie.:D |
Poor Rosie give her a kiss for me!! I would make the lady pay your vet bill. |
