Is it collapsed trachea? Dear Norma, My Yorkie, Jingles died from a collapsed trached 2 months shy of 6 years old.Jingles was diagnosed with it at age 3, although I believe he had it before then. When he would run around the house he would be panting and out of breath. He also used to spit up white foam.He never really had a cough, but the last year he'd start wheezing and then I'd have to give him his medicine. On the day he died he sneezed twice and the vet feels these reverse sneezes totally collapsed his trachea.Dogs that have this condition shouldn't be out in extreme heat or cold, be exposed to cigarette smoke and other air sprays. If you aren't sure you can always get a 2nd opinion.
