London is not feeling well at all! I don't know what is up with her but for the past few days she has been sick, i know you're prob. thinking why haven't i taken her to the vet...well it's very weird. See, 3 days ago she had really runny poop and it was really smelly, not how it usually is. All she's been eating is her regular food, and i gave them all carrots as treats. Since then i stopped giving it to them, all 3 seemed to have runny poop all over my house but then seemed to get better. Teddy and Sophie are fine. And London was too until i noticed she pooped diarrhea again the next day. She's been eating just fine the past couple days, yesterday morning and afternoon she was a little lethargic and sleeping all day but at night she was playing and fighting as usual with Sophie and Teddy and i thought she was all better. All she ate was her food which is cal. natural. Now this morning she pooped all over the room again and even on my bed she vomited for the 2nd time but it looks like diarrhea, my bf told me it was vomit. It's discusting and the smell is horrible! idk if it's the food or what can be causing this but the other 2 are fine. She was just shaking a few minutes ago and when i checked her gums were WHITE! She is tiny so i immediately panicked, i dont have nutrical and looked for honey but none of that either, so i gave her water mixed with some sugar and she drank a little, her gums are light pink now. I'm going to go buy some pedialyte..should i feed her white rice and chicken? What should i do? If she doesn't get better atleast by this afternoon i am going to make a vet appt. but i know they will be all booked until tom.. or the nxt day and i am worried it will be like last time she was sick, i took her to a vet and they couldn't tell me what was wrong with her:( She got better in a couple days after and i paid money for no reason at all. I'm really worried and don't know what else to do:cry::cry: I should add in my room i have this scent package i got from Bed Bath and Beyond and an open package spilled on the floor under my bed and i didn't know and yesterday she was under the bed chewing something, my bf thought she was eating her poop cause she does that, and he tried to get her to come out but he was not sure, she may have eaten some of this stuff...i highly doubt it cause she had signs of sickness before that but i could be...but other than that she has only been eating her food. I am thinking to completely have her stop eating it, and only cook her rice and chicken for today, i feel like she is getting sick cause of it....but i have no idea since Teddy and Sophie are completely normal and they are eating the same food...please HELP! I'm panicking over here, shes just laying down looking so sad and cold:( And yes she is wrapped up in blankets too |

White gums can mean something very serious is going on. With her not feeling well I personally wouldn't even want to wait til this afternoon. This could mean anemia or shock. Nutrical isn't really going to do much of anything if it is one of these. It probably isn't the food if the other two are better. I'd go to the vet with a stool sample and they might want to take blood (and it is probably best). I would at least call and ask to talk to a vet or tech immediately and they may want to see her now. |

Geez, that sounds a little scary to me. I would call the vet, especially since she is so small and is having those problems. If your regular one is booked up, is there another one you could go to without having to wait several days? Good luck, I hope she is okay. |

Could she be getting sick from eating poop? Pixie will eat poop if I don't see it right away and has no reaction, Roxie will also eat it once and awhile and gets so sick, she throws up poop and has diahrrea and acts sick. I would probab;y take her in since it has not resolvedon its own yet. Good luck |

I just checked her gums again, they are a little darker pink like normal. And her nose is warm indicating she is warming up , before it was cold. Right now i am making her some rice and white chicken to see if she will eat that cause she doesnt even want to eat a treat. I am going to call the vet now to see what they think i should do. |

She might have a flu. Take her to the vet and get her checked. Could it be the carrots. Some times raw veggies can cause the squishies. |
|
Awe poor baby it sounds like a trip to the vet is the thing to do. Let us know how it goes. |

If she did eat any amount of something from Bed Bath and Beyond, that probably could've done this but I'm not sure it would give her white gums... If she is still throwing up, feeding her may not be a good idea. When is the last time she ate? Have you tried Pedialyte? |

Dog Flu.... My coworker just told me something about a dog flu in ny and nj. It's saying that it's contagious and a lot of the symptoms London has. Said you can avoid it by avoiding dog parks and that sort of stuff. I will get the link. Pet owners worry as dog flu spreads across U.S. - Pet health - MSNBC.com |

If it was a day after the steak, it could've been that. Pancreas issues come to mind if that is when it happened. Was it fatty? Since all three of them had a problem, I have no idea what it could be. All three wouldn't get pancreas problems at the same time... As far a Gatorade, that is fine but check all ingredients carefully for artificial sweeteners. I think PediaLyte would be easier (store brand is much cheaper) to get just the right thing. Pediasure is good but I think it contains a corn derivative. |

I hope that cutie will be feeling better soon. It may not be, but, I was told that when the poop is really stincky (worse than normal) that it's a good sign of coccidia. I hope you can get her in to the vet soon. A little yogurt may be ok if she's not vomiting. |

Sending our get well wishes for London.... |

All Ellie did when she had it is throw up about 8 times. She acted okay otherwise for the most part. Since the other two had some sort of the same thing though, pancreatitis wouldn't be my first guess. She has been sick for over 24 hours and had white gums earlier. I think she needs to see a vet. |

Ah poor London! :( I hope she gets better very soon! :getwellso |

We just wnet through this with our 2 yr old Maya, Get your dog checjed out and read read tge following, just to make sure it's not HGE. HGE or HEMORRHAGIC GASTRIC ENTERITIS -- is particularly dangerous to the toy and smaller breed dogs. Any kind of bacterial diarrhea can quickly dehydrate a dog, and the tinies are at greater risk, as they have little weight to lose before they are dehydrated and need IV rehydration. Your dog can get infected anywhere. Then it can be from 2-10 days after exposure, that your dog can come down with this problem. The symptoms start with vomiting, lethargy, refusing to eat, and progressing to mucous covered stool, loose stools, severe diarrhea and bloody diarrhea. It is important to have a culture done first so that you know exactly what bacteria you are treating, and get them started on antibiotics. DO NOT waste time, especially with the tiny toy dogs , as they do not have the spare fluids to lose thru diarrhea, especially bloody diarrhea. |

Wow i didnt know about that...thanks for letting me know. She is fine now but i will ask the vet anyway to check for this, she did have mucus covered poop before, not anymore though. But she didn't lose her appetite really, she is back to eating her food. I'm watching her to make sure she's doing okay with it. |
