| Need Advice Diahhrea in 2 week pups I have 5, 2 week old pups, I have been bottle feeding for the last week due to mom having hypocalcimia. This am I found 2 of the pups have diahhrea. I did have to substitute 1 bottle of their normal formula for the esbliac kind friday evening as we ran out, I only fed them one bottle. Could this be the issue? The other thing I am concerned with is that they try to "nurse" of each other... meaning the go for the penis and such. I stop them each time I see them, and offer them bottles a lot, could this be the problem. I need help as the open er here is over a 2 hour drive. I need advice on how to make them stop, and if I diahhrea is related to the food, and/or the urine. I have a appt for regular vet in the am monday. Could diahrea be caused due to change from mom as well, they seemed pretty thick the first few days, just this am is this a problem.. Thanks I am trying to let one nurse off a little off mom as well, as he seems to have the hardest time.

| If you cannot get them to the vet, I would try giving them some pedialite. They can go downhill really fast and I would guess that the change in formula has caused this. I am certainly no expert, so hopefully one of the breeders with experience in this will be on soon to help.

| I finally got them in, although I swear the Doc is an Idiot. He said oh they all look fine, switch their formula and see if that helps. Mean while my babies are squirting poop. I finally got it to slow down a bit, everyone is fed, including one I had to tube. Any suggestions. One has gotten so weak he did not take the bottle and that was a first. I am so worried. Pleas epray for them, they have had such a hard time so far, this just sucks! BTW Yorkie Rose I PM'd you with a question

| We Love you Yorkie Rose!!!! Thanks so much for the advice on pepto. The vet at the er thought the pups were fine, just let them go, as they were litterally pooping water. They became so weak, that in the end I had to tube feed 2 of them, as they wouldnt even try on mom. I gave the 2 drops of pepto and rubbed a little nutrical on their gums. After feedings every 1.5-2 hours just to get fluids into them, everyone is doing better this am. I thought for sure we were going to lose the one little guy, he was lifeless, not moving and to weak to nurse, and today is back t his spunky self. I honestly think had you not mentioned that, their diahhrea would not have stopped. All is getting better now, stools still a little loose, but not water and we have gone from every few minutes to every few hours ( roughly 2 feedings) SO thank you so much, I feel you helped me save these babies.
