She did ingest some. There is a mass that looks like is is ready to be expelled very soon. There is one small piece higher up but the vet says she doesn't think it will be a problem. She gave me a list of symptoms to be aware of in the event that it does.

I am soo very relieved. Hopefully, it will all just pass through and no surgery will be needed.

Come on Sassy, POOP, POOP, POOP!!!!

I took Abby and Daisy to a ballgame last night and after the game I was standing there talking to my parents and brother, I look down had Abby and aluminum foil in her mouth! It was from a hotdog or hamburger that someone had thrown down.
She looked like she had braces! I had to pry her mouth open to get it out!
What a coincidence that I found this thread.

I'm praying for a nice painless tin foil poo!

I totally understand. LOL

She has now gone twice with no sign of tin foil. I did try my best to look for it but my tummy is not cooperative. It wants to empty itsself with every inspection. Mercy me!

She seems to be doing fine. She's eating and is acting as usual. I am hoping that it is all fine, but if I don't see it then I guess I may have to have her x-rayed again. :( I am too scared to take a chance with this.

Ok, this is gross, so don't read the following if you can't take it, but the scientist in me thinks if you take her poop and put it on a paper plate and microwave it, the foil would spark. Of course, if it exploded that would not be too pretty. :D

How do you inspect it? I would use a ziplock baggy. Grab the poop with the bag inside out so you can ziplock it in. This is what I did when my schnauzer ate my... are you ready for it?... DIAMOND!! Yep, her little tooth got hooked under the diamond on my wedding ring and ripped it right out. It took her 3 DAYS to poop it out (talk about being STRESSED out!). So don't worry if you don't see any foil yet... it may take 3 days. Good luck!!

Thank you for that encouragement. I would give a lot for a Yorkie that pooped diamonds!! :D

In the x-ray, it showed it right there---ready to be expelled. That's what has me worried. It should have been out by now, I would think. Ahhhh....makes me think of the statement, all that glitters is not gold. HA! Sometimes it is poopy tin foil, and sometimes, even poopy diamonds! :D

I don't think I could either, lol. Epsilon's ziplock baggy idea pretty good. The problem is the tin foil might blend in pretty good with the poop and you might have to smooch it a lot in order to find it.

You can easily smoosh it while it's in the bag. That's what I did!!
