Wonderful. Good news. Thank god for that. hang in there Mom, you will make it through this. Lots of doggie kisses to sweet Sass and huge for you. Your kitties will have to get by with another kind of ball to play with. ::) :) |
Just saw this, hope she will be alright, prayers. |
Come on Sassy, POOP, POOP, POOP!!!! I took Abby and Daisy to a ballgame last night and after the game I was standing there talking to my parents and brother, I look down had Abby and aluminum foil in her mouth! It was from a hotdog or hamburger that someone had thrown down. She looked like she had braces! I had to pry her mouth open to get it out! What a coincidence that I found this thread. I'm praying for a nice painless tin foil poo! |
Roses are red Violets are blue Hoping to see... A big shiny pooh Sorry, couldn't help it....cooooommmmeeeooonnn Sassy!!! |

I totally understand. LOL She has now gone twice with no sign of tin foil. I did try my best to look for it but my tummy is not cooperative. It wants to empty itsself with every inspection. Mercy me! She seems to be doing fine. She's eating and is acting as usual. I am hoping that it is all fine, but if I don't see it then I guess I may have to have her x-rayed again. :( I am too scared to take a chance with this. ______________________________________ |

In the x-ray, it showed it right there---ready to be expelled. That's what has me worried. It should have been out by now, I would think. Ahhhh....makes me think of the statement, all that glitters is not gold. HA! Sometimes it is poopy tin foil, and sometimes, even poopy diamonds! :D |
Hope she poops out the foil soon! :aimeeyork |

Do we have poop yet? If she were a horse I'd tell you to load her on a trailer -- that is a sure fire way to get a horse to poop :) I can't think of an equivilant for a dog. |
I know this is serious, and you're very worried about your little one, but... This thread is totally cracking me up! lol! :D |

Nothing yet, though. I refuse to put it in the microwave. The aroma alone would do me in. But, HOT POO!!, man. That's hard to imagine. :tongue030 Blech!! I think I will just use the baggie idea. It makes the most sense. Repugnant as it is..... It takes a LOT OF LOVE to do this poo thing, eh? |
My sweet Sassy ate tin foil Quote:

Me too. Today she is not eating. Anything at all. I tried chicken breast alone...which she normally loves. She will not eat a treat. Nothing. So I gave her some more pumpkin. I had to thin it out and put it in a dropper and give it to her like medicine. She is so good. Although she didn't want it, she let me do it anyway. I called the vet's office and am waiting on a return call. However, the vet that started her initial treatment on this (whom I like very much) has just gone on a three week vacation. :( Now we have to go with someone else in the office. Please, Lord, I pray that she doesn't have to have surgery. I am so very distressed. The only 'normal' energy she is displaying is barking loudly and and enthuastically when the doorbell rings. Please ask Jesus for healing for my Sassy. _______________________________________ |

Btw, the poos could be very messy after mineral oil. Just fyi. Maybe ask vet first? |
My Vet gave me flavored vaseline, if you have vaseline put some syrup or something sweet on your finger and give it to her NOW |
Tricksie had chewed up a ball of string and he gave her the flavored vaseline to make her poop but she vomited it up. |
Poor little dear. I hope she eliminates it soon and can avoid the surgery. Keep us posted.... |
Thank you all so much! I talked to the vet\'s office. The other vet is now going on vacation.... They are usually open on Saturdays but not this Saturday as he is leaving also. He said all he would do is prescribe her amforal and give her nutrical. Other than that he would refer me to the emergency animal clinic in Visalia? This amazes me. I have both amforal and nutrical but I am going to wait on the pumpkin to work again. I got her to eat some chicken by melting a bit of cheese over it. I know, I know....cheese isn\'t ideal for this situation, but I am hoping that the pumpkin will offset that. At least she ate something. If she hasn\'t gone by this evening, I guess I will try some of the suggestions here. I don\'t want to go so drastic if I can get her to go on her own. Now that she has eaten, that may be a possibility. ?? Again, thank you all so much for being here with me through this trauma. I helps. Hugs. _____________________________________ |
