| Newbie-- my puppies tummy always feels very hard and tight. Normal? I'm a newbie and my puppy Riley has had a rough start. I am happy to report she is making great progress everyday. She is eating good. Her poo and pee are normal. We were able to lower her meds to once a day for seizures. She hasn't had any seizures all week. But, here's my question... Her tummy is very hard and tight. Is this normal? She still feels anxious if you try to pet her or pick her up. So I'm not sure if her tummy is hard because of stress or what. |

| Well, Gizmo's tummy feels firm to me too, and he's perfectly healthy (at least as far as I know), so I would be interested in this answer as well. I just thought he was fit and in shape without a lot of excess body fat (unlike his momma! )

| Well, now that I think about it...Riley's stool have been soft lately. Although, she is eating moist food. I am also giving her Nutri-Cal. She is 11 weeks and has been dewormed twice. |

| Abby, my 5 month old's belly feels pretty tight too. Maybe what I consider hard or tight, might not be the same as what you would consider to be hard or tight. I hope she lets her guard down with you soon I wish I had more helpful info. All the best, Tammy
