Update On The Holy Tarra/surgery Tomorrow! I just thought I would start a new thread about her having surgery tomorrow morning about 5 or 6. I took her tonight to the ER, thats the same place they do the surgery for this Dr. and she wasn't very happy with me, but she is being well taken care for. Dr. Mitch is a orthopedic specialist so I feel good about it, only problem I can see is the Dr. tonight told me she would not have a cast on, and she will have to be confined for 3 months:eek: somebody please tell Tarra that one. So here I am again asking for prayers for her for tomorrow, and then I am asking for prayers and drugs for me the next 3 months:D I really want to say THANK YOU to everyone that has called, pm and emailed me, you guys are my life support when it comes to my babies, and you will never know how much each and everyone means to me. Its not too many people that would meet you to go to the ER with the monkeys, and then she had to be seen with me, Saba thank you again, trust me I was a sight to be seen. I had been up since 5 that morning worked all day, then came home was out in the yard, painting or putting mulch out, so I can guess I didn't smell my best, then I rush out to take Tarra and she poop in the back seat and had it all over her, I swear it was like having a 1 year old child in the bathroom cleaning her up, I had on shorts, t-shirt, crew socks and my crocs, poor Saba hung right in there with me, bless her heart. I honestly don't know how I would have gotten through the last few months without all of you. Thank you for being my family, thats how I feel about you!:) |
Awww I have thought of her all day. I couldnt wait to get home and sign on to get an update! I am glad i am off tomorrow;) |
Sending you lots of good wishes and prayers for a good recovery. My Clemmie wore a cast for 5 months when she broke her leg, but she was able to run free..and she did..right back on to the top of the couch from which she had jumped and broke her leg to begin with...I wish your little girl a perfect recovery as my Clemmentine... |
Kim sending tons of prayers for her and you. Mmmh when my shih had the luxating patella and we had the surgery with pin placement he had a cast...a soft one to keep it from shifting. I did have to keep him confined to the xpen. I can't see how after the surgery they won't be casting it. |
good luck and God speed tomorrow....im sure she will be fine....although i dont understand why they are not gonna put a cast on her....oh well i guess they know best.....good luck |

Awwww....Kim, I'm sorry she has to have the surgery but thankful it can be fixed and you feel good about her Dr. A friends little girl had to have a similar surgery with no cast and the confinement.....it wasn't easy, but they BOTH (:D) got through it...you and Tarra will too. Give her a hug from me. Sorry, I had to laugh at the visual of you in your frazzled state wearing what you were.....how come the accidents never happen when we are looking our best?:) I'll be thinking of and praying for you both tomorrow. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and that 3 months goes by quickly. |

Hurray for Tarra. I am so happy surgery went well. Tarra and Kim you are still in my thoughts and prayers! :hands: :hands: |
3 Attachment(s) Tarra is home....finally, we got here about 9 and have been trying to get her stuff set up. She did great with the surgery, Dr. Mitch said she did great, but she has to be in a crate for the next 6 weeks, then we will do xrays and see how she is healing. So the next few weeks look fun, she can't play or been around the other yorkies, can't run, pretty much if I am not holding her, she is in the crate. Thanks everyone for the prayers, we both are going to need a bunch. He said she has a 50/50 chance it will heal correctly, he said to look at her surgery like putting a screw in butter, we have to be extremely careful. Attachment 225415 Tarra's new home for the next 6 weeks:( Attachment 225416 Tarra not happy:( Attachment 225417 Tarra not happy:( They didn't put a cast on but I talked him into putting a bandage on her. |
