| Help me please....my 7 wk old puppy... My new little baby, 7 wks old, 2.5 lbs, has been doing fine....eating, running, playing, etc....and now all of a sudden, every once and a while she runs wildly, then stops and tries to get at her butt, bites her back leg, and cries. She has been pooping regularly, and urinating fine. She drinks and eats fine. But what is happening to her? I was at work tonite and my husband called me franticly worried about her. I will call the vet tomorrow and see what he says, but does anyone have any clue to what's happening? I will be up for another hour or so if someone can help me. Thanks..

| Did you check for fleas? I know fleas sometimes like to hang out near the butt. Look at her skin by parting her hair. If she has fleas you will either see them crawling on her or there might be flea poop on her which just looks like little black dots. I hope she's ok!! |

| It sounds like something is irritating her at her back end. I would suspect fleas too, or worms. Has she been wormed? I assume you've checked her rear to make sure she hasn't anything stuck there? |

| My baby is fine!!!!!Yayyyyy! I'm soo happy. I was up all nite with her...we slept on the couch so we wouldn't bother my hubby and Chewy (our 9 yr old yorkie). But we only slept for an hour, if that much....she was crying, throwing herself around, biting at herself...etc etc.......As soon as the vet opened, I went in...he checked her for everything and couldn't find anything....I brought a stool sample in from this morn and he looked at it and said it was very dry and hard. So, he came to the conclusion that she was constipated! He gave her an enema there, and sent me home with a few more to do today. He also said to put pumpkin in with her puppy food, as that is good fiber. Well, now she is fine and happy again. I was driving to the vet just crying...thinking the worst and praying for the best. Thank God that's all it was. Thanks for all your good wishes and help.
