| OMG-I am sooo mad and he is sick!!! I took Ace to the vet for the coughing-he has some fluid in his lungs and is wheezing some-like allergies. Also did a stool specimen and he has Coccidia !!!! The lady I got him from gave me a medicine for him when I picked him up for "car sickness" because it was a 5 hour drive-IT WAS the medicine for Coccidia. I didn't use it b/c he was great in the car. He has only had diarrhea the first few days I had him-I assumed due to stress or slow diet change. I gave him some pumpkin and it firmed up-I feel so terrible now!! So, he is on Amoxil, Albon, and Benadryl. That lady LIED to me and it could have killed him!!!! I am sooo sad !

| Hope Ace will be on the mend soon. It is very sad that you were lied to that way but at least you did the right thing in taking him to the Vet. All the Best!

| You should contact Ace's breeder and get her to pay your vet bill IMO. She tried to pull a fast one on you and sold you a sick puppy. |

| ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In the last AKC Gazette, there was a notice. The AKC's Management Disciplinary Committee has suspended the following individuals from all AKC privileges for an additional six months and imposed a $500.00 fine for having submitted or caused to be submitted three litter registration applications that they knew, should have known, or had a duty to know contained false certifications (DNA exclusions). Effective April 7th. 2008 Ms. Merri Chaffin (Atoka, Ok) (Multiple Breeds) Since this does say "additional", it appears they have other suspensions on her. This may not stop people like this, but at least it's something. Of course, she can always go to other registries, but at least AKC has stepped in. I can't help but wonder if the Chaffins have someone else selling their dogs now? How many Yorkie breeders could there be in Atoka, Oklahoma???

| I know and this worries me. I have been digging and googling but haven't found the connection yet. He was from Rose Kennels-just outside of Atoka. Maybe they took the Chaffins dogs?? WHO knows-what a mess-I hate being lied too!!

| I am so sorry poor Ace is sick. Praying he improves fast. Have you contacted the breeder? I would do so asap - or whoever she is.

| I am not holding up for this yorkie breeder, but ,as was stated on another topic. We all have coccidia in our body. Stress, helps to make it raise its ugly head. I also send Cocci medicines with my pups that I sell. My vet thinks that this is a very good idea, as most small breed pups will stress over the move, new food, different people. I tell people that this is for dieherra from the new home. I have had good success with doing this. There is nothing a breeder can do about the cocci., but forewarn the buyer and help out with it. |

| No because Cocci is mostly dieherra. I tell them that there could be blood in the stool, so not to panic. I have them start treating the dog , as soon as they get it home. Most buyers are not interested enough to ask, what causes the dieherra. If they ask I tell them about the Cocci, that we all have in our system and that the medicine will help out stopping it. It is like when I get upset over something, stressed, I will get dieherra. To me there is no deceptiveness in it. I am trying to avoid the buyers a vet trip and more money spent. I have not had one person not be appreciative of my giving them the heads up on it. I am trying to be a good breeder |

The deceptiveness was that I was told it was a medicine for car sickness. And, it can become more than diarrhea. Ace has been to the vet three times in 2 weeks and I have only had him since the tenth. And it is just plain unfortunate that buyers who need to be educated are buying puppies thinking all is well. And then BOOM-here we go-sick furbaby. Most buyers don't ask because they don't know too.

| Honesty is always the best policy. When the health of a puppy is at stake...the don't ask/don't tell just doesn't cut it. Sorry this is just the way I feel about it. Anyway, I sure hope Ace recovers quickly now that you are aware of what you're dealing with. Get well soon baby boy...I'm praying for you!
