| Gypsy Wants To Warn You All of The DANGERS of... CATS! My parents are on holiday and they live less than 5minutes walk away. I needed to go up there to check for any mail so I thought it would be easier to walk up so Gypsy would come aswell and have some excercise. On the way back down we were passing a driveway and I could see this big black cat laying in the grass at the side of it - staring at Gypsy! Gypsy didn't bark, growl or anything, in fact, I'm pretty sure she hadn't even seen it till the thing flew at her! I could understand if Gypsy had of provoked the cat, but she hadn't, we were just walking past! So the cat flew at Gypsy, yowling and growling away and took a good few swipes at Gypsy, making her yelp! I bent down and picked her up as quick as I could, baring in mind we're on a hill and I had to put the brakes on on Amelia's stroller before I could even help Gypsy! Even when the cat was attacking her she didn't react! Well, Gypsy's eye was weeping and she wouldn't open it, so we came home and then we went off to the vets! After explaining to the vet that a cat attacked her , (I could see the vet trying not to laugh!), he checked her eye and said the cat had scratched her actually on her eye and he gave her something to bring the swelling down and some drops for me to put in her eye 5 times a day for the next week to prevent an infection. So Gypsy just wants to tell you all.... please watch out for vengeful cats!

| I'm glad Gypsy is ok and hope her eye heals completely. I do believe I've met a couple of cats like that. Let us know how her eye is doing.

| I didn't do anything other than swear loudly at the cat... I always think what if it was my cat and someone kicked or something... even though it attacked my dog!

| Gypsy's eye is still swollen and it's hard to get the drops in but she's acting pretty normally, just obviously not wanting to run round and stuff because she's only looking out of one eye... makes her a little wobbly and she's crashed into a door frame! We're carrying her around now, I'm sure she hates it...
