| Foxes! what should I do?? I have a little 5 month old yorkie and she is always outside. But the other day we saw a mother fox and 3 baby foxes in our neightbors backyard. My dad looked at them and they stared back, seems like their not afraid of humans. They can hop fences. and im worried about my little baby, lexie lu. We called animal control but they are off for the weekend until tuesday. Im not just worried about my dog but there are alot of other people who have little dogs, like my neighbor. What should i do to keep them from hurting my lexie?

| In the short term...don't let her outside by herself! I'm not sure animal control will remove foxes

| OMGosh...keep that baby inside! Why is she always outside? Is she always with someone while outside? Yorkies aren't outdoor dogs and especially a young puppy! I remember reading on here once where a fox jumped someone's fence and killed their yorkie, so please keep that baby inside and away from danger. It is not just fox you need to be cautious of, but any other animals including coyotes, large dogs, birds of prey. Yorkies cannot defend themselves against these type of predators.

| thanks Thanks, Ive been doing that, coming outside with her, everyday. but one day ,yesterday, my mom saw a fox and she grabbed lexie and ran inside. It was scary. well about the outside thing. Lexie loves to be outside , we dont let her though the whole house yet. She loves to blow off some steam, shes fast and she loves to run. I dont know why Im just too scared to let her out even when im out there with her. I stand on the deck and watch her every move but what if im not fast enough. Lexie is my first dog and the twinkle in my eye, i dont know what i would do without her.

| I would be outside at all times with her. I never allow my boys to go outside unless me or my hubby are with them. We have a lot of wildlife here, and it's just not worth the risk. Be aware of any hawks or buzzards also. They have been known to pick these little ones up.
