He is doing a better-to some extent. Still raspy and coughing and on our second round of antibiotics. We completed the Albon for the coccidia yesterday-YAY!!!! I am a little shocked at the lies. He is my first furbaby-I am totally in love-but am disheartened at the whole experience. Deception is a form of lying and I was upset he was dealing with something-that had I just been told he had it and needed the medicine-I would have been sure to give it and not toss it in the trash. I am a nurse-for goodness' sake! |
I'm so happy that baby is with you...and doing better. As for the other stuff...I have already said enough. |
I'm so sorry you've had to go through this! It's so horrible that you're breeder lied to you. I hope you contact her and have her do something about this. She should at least pay for your vet bills. I'm glad your baby is doing better. I'll pray for a speedy full recovery! |
I am so very sorry that you had this negative experience. It is a good thing that you were diligent and carried little Ace to the vet. |
I resent you calling me a puppymill. You don't even know me nor my kennel. You are trying to stir up mud and I don't do that. I am telling the truth. I was trying to help the situation, not make snide remarks about some one that I don't know. So sit back on your throne and keep judging. I guess that some times education isn't the best answer. |

When we got our Maltese many years ago, he had coccidia but did not even have diarrhea or blood in the stools. |

When we got our Maltese puppy, he had coccidia. The vet at that time told me this was very common in puppies and that stress from the change is a major cause. If you do a search on coccidia, you will find that stress is a major cause. I'm not sure why someone called you a puppymill. Your information is accurate. |
My breeder had coccidia show up in her home but none showed up in Ozzy's litter and none showed any symptoms. My breeder is a wonderful small show breeder. She told me what is was and sent the meds home with us. Ozzy never showed any signs but I gave the meds anyway. She was honest and open about it and that makes her a great breeder in my eyes and why I will get my second Baby from her. It's not a puppy mill issue it's a parasite they can pick up anywhere. It's how the breeder handles it that is the issue I guess. |

Thank you Puppy Love and Mainegirl. I just try to help people out in the understanding of problems that can pop up. I also am death on making sure that they understand about Hypogloxmeia. I even have a printed sheet of symtoms and how to treat it, if it happens to their puppy. Of course my statement also says that if not responding in 20 minutes go to the vet. I agree that the breeder was wrong not stating what the medicine was for, correctly. I guess she didn't want to say coccidea. |
