Glad to hear he is at the Vet :) |

I am with everyone else. The shots should not make him sleepy. Until you can get to the pet store and get some entracal, nutrical or something for the blood sugar, put some kayro syrup on his little gums. I bet you are going to see him perk up because it sure sounds like low blood sugar. I give Kayla something even if she throws up or is sicky from something and she is 10mo. old now. I am afraid of that blood sugar. I have diabetes and I know what it feels like to have your blood sugar out of whack. Good luck with this little one. |

Hi, I am glad he is doing better. I can't wait to see pictures. |

Update on Chewie :)Update on Chewie... I just received a call from the vet and they told me he will be ready to pick up after his bath. She told me that from what she could tell all of the tests came back negative, but that I would need to talk to Dr. Thomas. I am so relieved!!! I can't wait to pick him up!! We had a rough night... I never went to sleep I was so worried about him. I sat up in recliner so I wouldn't go to sleep and made sure he was breathing okay and woke him up every hour to try to get him to eat and drink a little something. I will let you know exactly what the doc says once we get home and settled in. Then I am going to bed. My husband and girls are going to be on Chewie duty while I take a nap ;) I want to say thank you to all of you for all of your help and concern. I was so upset and afraid and alone (my husband had to get some sleep b/c he leaves for work at 3:30 a.m.). You all made me feel so much better and more calm. He is such a sweet baby!!! Thank you again for everything!!!! I am now trying to figure out how to post pics of my precious Chewie. Christy |

So glad that it looks like Chewie just had a bad episode and hopefully this is behind you. Glad you found YT and can't wait to learn more about you & Chewie. |
|
Yeah. Good news. Now you can get some rest. and then try to post those pictures. We love pictures. |
|
I'm confused here, but welcome to YT and I hope there is more good news to come. I don't understand why they kept him, or gave him a bath???? I do know he was too young to have shots. Puppies should not have shots till they are 16 weeks old. Danger of Pet Vaccination - Vaccinosis - adverse reaction to routine vaccination |

Wooo Hooo! We need pictures! QUOTE=chewies mommy;1978100]They kept him because I could not miss work today and I live an hour away from work/vet and I didn't want to bring him home alone not feeling well. They gave him a bath and groomed him because I asked them to because we were concerned that he might have fleas when we got him. He is back to his old self again!!! Bouncing around and playful!!! Thanks[/QUOTE] |

Did the vet give you any feedback about the episode the other night? Also, how much does Chewie actually weigh? So glad he's doing better! |
