I am in tear reading through this. I am so happy little Bleu is home. There are so very few people who would have been both willing and able to give him the care you have Vicki. I know how blessed you feel to have him and he is so blessed to have you.

I am not as wore out as I was yesterday .. I think my mind was on shut down trying to wrestle and figure out BLEU BOY BARBER... Have you ever tried figuring out a child and wondering what is wrong THEY CANT TALK and you know something is WRONG ? THIS IS WORSE TRUST ME!!!!!

SO Monday and Tuesday I am with Bleu Boy basically 100% Wed I started tapering off Thurs I had a long day at work and Friday well I was ready to have BLEU TREATED AGAIN!!! The day I was away from him he started coughing hacking choking ECT.... NO EPISODES.......

I admit I panic freak get scared worry and think is today the last day is this cough turning to a episode? I have decided I was not going back to A&M I was going to get a second opinion... NOONE CAN GIVE ME DIFINITIVE ANSWERS!! TONSILITIS OK SO WE SHOULD BE WELL BY NOW SO IM THINKING You are talking 3 meds giving 3 times a day RELIGIOUSLY ON THE HOUR and we are headed into week 4 and still nothing.........

SO I decided NO MORE OUTSIDES AND I HAVE TOLD THE FAMILY IF YOU SPRAY ANYTHING FOR A MONTH YOU HAVE TO SPRAY IT OUTSIDE AND MY BOYS SAID WHAT ABOUT YOUR HAIRSPRAY MAMA and IM LIKE WELL WITH ONE EXCEPTION

Anyways we have totally adapted to BLEUS LIVING CONDITION... Thank you Lauren for the air purifier advice I AM USING ONE thanks to your dilligent advice!!!

OK so maybe I am an extremists and have OCD and have to make sure everything is done to perfection to the best of my ability I am doing all I know to do so IF YOU READ BACK UP IN THIS POST Bleu started coughing hacking ect... when I started being away from him longer... I did not realize anything other than WE ARE HEADED FOR A EPISODE BIG TIME!! HE STILL HAS NOT HAD ONE BUT I THOUGHT HE WAS.... SOOOOOOOOOOO I call a vet here in Corsicana yesterday ... I know him personally I called him at home and talked with him about BLEUS CONDITION and these are his words along with JILLS BREEDER CONFIRMING IT!!!

Vicki your dog has had the best care possible everyone including several surgeons can FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR DOG IF A&M can not fix your dog then nothing else can be done I can almost promise you SHORT OF GODS MIRACLE!! So by listening to everything you have said WE WANT YOU TO START MONITORING when BLEU STARTS having choking coughing spells!!!!!!!!!! We think that YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS he has been very sick he has been sick his whole life we are not doubting you BUT YOU PROBALLY HAVE A VERY HEALTHY BOY ON YOUR HANDS AND HE IS EQUIPPED TO YOU AND HAS DEVELOPED BEHAVORIAL ATTENTION ISSUES THROUGH HIS SICKNESS!



We do not doubt he has been sick his whole life but now that he is well all he has ever known is BEING SICK AND MAMA babying me ect......MONITOR FROM THIS DAY FORWARD do not run to him when he coughs hacks chokes .. DO NOT PLAY WITH HIM .. IGNORE HIM DOGS DO VERY WELL ON THEIR OWN he is codependent upon you ...

Honestly speaking yall this has been very easy to do because I AM TIRED !!! As I speak he is quiet as a cucumber if anything he is litter box trained now and NO EPISODES COUGHING ECT cause I have been ignoring him.....He is still taking his meds but when I get on the phone HE HACKS COUGHS When my hubby walks in the room and BLEU has just been fine he hacks coughs..... When I walk out of the room he hacks coughs so I WILL BE IGNORING BLEU FOR A WHILE and will be updating this if anything worsens WHICH I DOUBT 99% anything will worsen I have come to the realization I have a healthy boy and things are my fault for playing into his PAWS and running to his every beckon call cause all I have done is ruin him.... I am working on getting him back to normal.. I TRULY DO NOT THINK HE HAS ALLERGIES EITHER.... I will keep you updated just as the doctors say they are SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS WE ARE TOO but we think we have the STINK FIGURED OUT AND WE DONT HAVE A VET DEGREE

HAS ANYONE EVER GONE THROUGH THIS BEFORE?

I have not gone threw something to that extreme.
BUT
I have begun to notice something with Scruffy when I am bathing him.
He is 3 yrs old & I have always wet & rinsed his face with a small sponge.
Yes Sometimes I would get water in his nose BUT most of the time I don't.
BUT he snorts & has his lil fit when i am rinsing his face & I promise you there is no water going up his nose & I would stop rinsing & dry his face with a towel - Then continue to bath him & go back to his head afterwards.
So I too had given in to him - But now I know better!
They have temper tantrums on Mondays when I go back to work also!

I was so glad to see your post today as I have been wondering how you are all doing. I am not surprised that he is using the coughing to his advantage as our babies are incredibly smart and anyone that says otherwise has never had a Yorkie. I hope Bleu continues to get or be healthy which ever it may be!!

Maybe little Bleu is using his coughing to get attention?!?! Oh my goodness. I guess you will have to test him to see. The little dickens!!!! I guess we would rather him do that than really be having a coughing fit!! Are you tricking your Mommy, Bleu??

I've been thinking of Bleu and wondering how he is doing. Who would have thought that? I really hope Bleu is doing it for attention. That's so much better to deal with than him being sick. I've had some really smart dogs in my lifetime, but I am still amazed at how intelligent this breed is. Good luck in retraining him, if that's what is needed. Doggy counseling, hmmmm. Anyway, I'm glad he hasn't had any bad episodes.

I've read it a few times but I'm still confused. Are they saying that Bleu coughs when you are around for attention? Then what about the episodes at the vets when you weren't there that happened in the middle of the night? Seems a bit extreme as an attention getter for a dog if you ask me. I could understand pooping on your pillow or something but to make himself gag???? Wow!!

Maybe it started with the tonsillitis but when he saw how much attention he got from his mommy, he started to use it to his advantage?? These little ones are much smarter than we think sometimes. It would be so wonderful if that is all it is at this point. Well, at least it means that Bleu is healthy. So, is Ceazar, where are you?? Bleu needs help.
