Susie, Thanks for the update. Like many others, I check frequently to see if there is any news. If you believe she will walk, then I believe it too. You are one amazing person. |
We're still following you, too, Susie. I try to check in every day and this is one of the first, if not my first, stop. It's truly your love and dogged determination (pun intended) that give this little girl the will to fight. BIG HUGS and sloppy Yorkie kisses to you both!:) |
Oh, Susie. That must have felt so good to hold her close and feel her softness. Tell me how she is eating. Is she beginning to gain weight? Susie, I know you want to respect Barb, but soon you will be incapacitated and unable to drive over to see Tink. Please take every moment to hold her, give her kisses and talk with Barb about the possibility of Tink coming to see you while you are in rehab. Wheelchairs roll into lobbies easily :-) This is also where your friends, who will offer to do anything for you, comes into play. If they say "Susie, do you want me to drive you to see Tink? the answer should be "yes" if you are able to withstand the car ride (pillows are great insulators). Part of your recovery is being able to relax and heal. Knowing Tink is okay on a daily basis will ease your mind, Susie. We in YT are your cheer leading section. So if your spirits begin to wane, think of a bunch of women, pom poms in their hands, pups running around barking, and a billboard with a picture of Susie and Tink. We are lined up and cheering for you and Tink. Warmly, Deborah |
Susie, I am so thrilled to see this update! It is wonderful that Tink is getting the love and care she needs... I know she is getting all the power of prayer we can give her! Good Luck on your surgery and thank you so much for taking the time to update us on her progress... Bless you and your little Tink..... d |
I was just checking in to see if there is a more recent update. Hope things went well today (Monday) for Tink and Susie. Both of you are in our prayers and will continue to be until everyone is back to normal. Each night when we say our prayers we always include you and Tink. Miracles do come true...you just have to believe, and believe, and believe. |
I feel pretty awful right now. Barb is sick and so I couldn't see Tink today. I can't take the chance of catching what she has and have my surgery postponed. I had plenty to keep me busy, training all morning at work, my pre-op meeting with the surgeon in the afternoon, rehearsal and singing tonight at church. But I am so sad that I didn't get to love Tink today. Gosh I miss her, I felt a little sick to my stomach that I couldn't see her. But I know it's the best thing. Does that sound silly that I would miss her that much?! I would never have thot I would love a little dog that much. I know that she's not human, but she certainly fills an empty place in my life since the kids are gone and I'm alone. Barb said Tink did very well today. Ate some more food out of her hand, and is trying very hard to move her front legs. She is holding her head up better and better. Barb said she really tbelieves Tink knows she has to work really hard to get better. She hasn't gained any weight back yet, but she will, I'm sure. Her blood work came back today and the vet said she is stable on her meds and her liver function has plateaued. So, that's very good. Now she has a chance to start moving forward instead of treading water! Thank you everyone for posting such uplifting messages and for remembering us and being our "cheer leading section." We really (well I really) lean on you alot these days. Thanks so much for being there for us. |
So sorry you didn't get to see Tink today. Maybe Barb's husband can bring her out to see you if Barb remains ill for long. We will continue to send prayers your way for both you and Tink. |
Hi, Susie. The virus is still floating around, so be very careful to avoid anyone that is ill. I am sorry that you were not able to see Tink yesterday. Yes, I completely understand your love and devotion to your precious girl. Let's face it, they may bark, poop and pee on our floors but to us, they are little human beings that fill the void in our lives called loneliness. Caring for Charlie and Tink fills that part of motherhood - nurturing plus who greets us when we enter the door at night with such joy. Soon, when you regained strength from your surgery, Tink will be back home and snuggling in your arms. Probably an occasional "poop and pee", but who really cares because of what she has been through. Must get ready for work, and thinking of you and Tink with warm thoughts. -Deborah |
PS That is great news about Tink's blood work and medication. Definitely on the good path to recovery. No more misguided steps to her meds, etc. Are you sure she isn't a cat? Nine lives? No, she is such spunky Tink, just like her Momma. -Deborah |
Just to let you know, we are still checking on Tink and prayers for you both!:lovewings |
Hi Susie...I'm sorry that you weren't able to see Tink today. I pray that Barb gets better quickly so you can see her before your surgery. I'm so thrilled to know that Tink is getting better. She is such a little trooper! I thought of something last night...I have that sling here that you sent for Kirby to use when he was having his back problems. I'm going to send it back to you as you may be able to use it again. I had planned on sending it to another dog in need, and now I'll just send it back to you! Sending lots of hugs from Maddie, Libby and I! I pray Tink does better each day! |
I am so happy Tink is better, what a little fighter she is.:) |
Bless her little Heart, i pray she continues to improve ! |
