I hope she gets better soon. I just posted this on someone else's thread, but the thoughts are the same for Tink. Did the vet check for pancreatitis? Monday just had a horrid week with that. She was on IV fluid infusion for 2 days in the hospital. I was so scared. is she pooping okay? No diarrhea? She can dehydrate if she has diarrhea and vomiting. I went the chicken/rice route until she turned her head away. Gave Pedialyte, meds prescribed were Reglan, Amforal, and Cerenia. Now she is on Hills prescription z/d canned and dry. and an antibiotic was prescribed because she is showing signs of IBS. I know what you are going through. I hope she gets better soon. I'll keep her in my prayers. This can be so scary. |
Tink~ I hope you feel better real soon! |
Best thoughts and vibes headed your way for the both of you.:):aimeeyork |
I am so very sorry that Tink is sick again. I will keep the both of you in my thoughts and prayers. |
Oh my gosh! Okay - I'd recommend you go to the store and get some canned, sliced white potatoes. Micro them with bit of butter - mash them up. Give her just the potatoes. Plain white potatoes are great to give bc they are appetizing, they absorb nauseous juices, they soothe the tummy, and they are immediately absorbed as energy bc they are a simple carb. They be can *very* helpful at times like these. Especially on empty, sensitive tummies - for dogs who don't want to eat, bc basically they're so hungry! Don't worry about protein until you get some energy/kcal in her body. You can also use fresh potatoes, of course - but this is just the fastest course. Please keep me posted! :) |
Prayers for you both! |

What is Tink's diagnosis (why does she have seizures)? How did the vet come to this conclusion? What tests were run when she was first diagnosed? Could you list all of her symptoms? At what age did the seizures start? |
Sending warm thoughts and prayers for you and Tink. Hugs from me and Lucy. |

Right now she is at hospital. I took her in last night because she kept crying. I called at 11:00 pm and they said to bring her right then. She is lethargic, little color in her gums, tongue is sticky, panting alot, crying, won't eat or drink(although swallows if I drop water from a syringe in her mouth). petit mal clusters - about 3 per hr. Beginning to drag her butt a tad. Very soft stools - half of the volume is blood tinged mucous. Vomiting bile - no food to speak of for most of three days. Maybe 1/3 cup of chicken & potatoes blended. She is really bad. And my heart is just sick. She doesn't even want her frog. |
