I'm so happy to hear Peanut will be all right! Your poor daughter - I know she is just sick:( |
oh my goodness! This reminded me of what happened to my boss back in college. He had a bassett that somehow got a ball of yarn off the table and ate a good share of it. This poor dog had to have extensive surgery. So glad Peanut passed the thread and all will be ok. A great reminder to keep everything picked up |
Peanut sure is a lucky little guy. I'm so glad everything came out ok and he's going to be fine. Please give your daughter a big hug from us. |
Great News! Glad Peanut is doing better. |
I am so happy and relieved to hear the good news. Thank goodness.... Your darling daughter should not feel bad about this. There is so much that they can get in to and we find new reasons to doggy proof every day. A short while ago I had to remind dh that he needed to remember NOT to throw his floss in the garbage upstairs, because on or two of these guys like to check them when they go upstairs. I usually always throw mine in the toilet.... just to be safe. |
I am so thankful that little Peanut is going to be OK. Your poor daughter ... tell her it wasn't her fault, these little creatures are just very curious and fast!! ;) |
I am just now seeing this and thankfully Peanut will be okay. Accidents happen so don't be too hard on yourself. Welcome hom Peanut!! |
I just now saw this thread and I'm soo glad that he's going to be o.k!!! |
Maybe we should add string to the dangerous things list.:) |
SUNDAY.......... and loving it!! Sunday ......... and he running and nibbling at my ankles where ever I go wanting to play!! My baby is back FULL force! The doctor kept the IV part on his leg just in case he had to come back during the weekend. I wrapped it with more gauze but could that keep the little stinker from getting it off......... OH NOOOOOO. lol I see him being his high energy self and think back before he got sick telling him no or slow down because he would be running full force around to now tearing up watching him now, loving every moment of it! I would never trade even the running from me to hide what he has grabbed for anything in the world after seeing him so sick. I knew I loved him there is no question about that but never would have thought just how scarred or upset I would have been after going through it. Thank you all for so much love on here and the prayers I know it helped just to have the understanding of others that love the same thing I do really kept me confident and comforted. I also agree that strings like earlier said mops, toys, dental floss, ect should be made known. The vet told me with these kinds of dogs its amazing how many times he has come across the small rubber or plastic bands we use in there hair that the dogs have eaten. Most of the time if there are no metal parts on them they are not detectable by x-ray and if it doesn’t pass by the time it is found out its because it has tied around and the back-up is severe in the intestine. Thought I would share that with you! Have a wonderful Sunday everyone! |
So happy for you and Peanut. |
