Checking in on Peanut. Praying for good news today! |
Checking in to see how Peanut is doing this morning. I hope he is doing better... |
Well he did have blockage and I think its a miracle that he is still here. The vet called and told me that Peanut had eaten some fishing string. I was in SHOCK.... I could not believe it. I could not figure for the life of me how he got a hold of fishing string. He said Peanut was a very lucky guy because he passed it. If he would have been an older dog it might not have ended like that because it could have wrapped around his intestine. He said they gave him a little bit of food and he is a lot more responsive today that he thinks he is going to be okay. He wants to hold onto him for a little longer with an IV and check his blood again. Well here is the part that breaks my heart now. My daughter came in the room and I told her what the vet said. A look of shock came across her face. She started to cry she collects those martinet puppets that you control with a stick and fishing line. She said last week Peanut had gotten a hold of one and she caught him chewing it. She took it away from him and had to throw that one out. He had to have gotten it from that. She didn’t think he had swallowed anything so she didn’t say anything. We are constantly taking things like shoes or paper he gets away from him. I told her I would never blame her and don’t be upset I know she loves him and he’s going to be okay. These baby’s really know how to shake things up! lol So it looks like everything is going to be okay so I want to really say sooooooooo many THANK YOU’s to all who have sent their prayers and best wishes. This was our first serious scare and he is only a year old! I will update again once I go get him and bring him home! |
This is great news, I am so happy for you and your family |
I am so happy to hear he is on the mend! :) |
wow! great news!! I am glad to hear Peanut is recovering. That is certainly a miracle! Sometimes the things that these little ones get into are so random!! Your daughter has to know that is not her fault at all! I am still praying for a speedy recovery so little Peanut can be back home!:animal-pa |
Thank goodness,, hope he recovers fully and well! WTG Peanut! |
Whew!!! I just saw this... so happy to hear that he passed the fishing line and I pray for his full recovery. Yes, these little ones can find a needle in a haystack with the speed of lightning! I still have to watch Max (and he's a year old today) with an eagle eye! I swear if there's anything he shouldn't have - he'll find it and race away from me when I try to get it. So please tell your daughter it's not her fault. Again, Best Wishes for a speedy recovery! |
I'm glad he's doing better and passed the sting himself! I used to work at a dog boutique/grooming salon and a dog was there was there that threw up and had mop string hanging out of his mouth. And then he pooped and the string came out there too...so the string went through his entire body! His owners picked him up and took him to the vet to get the string removed.. |
Bless his little heart. I hope your daughter is feeling better also. These things happen to all of us and no one is to blame. They are just too darn quick into getting things and at times we just don't see them. I am so happy for you and your family that Peanut will recover. Hugs to all of you, |
I feel and understand your concern and heartache You are in my thoughts and prayers too. Please keep all of us posted on the latest on your baby. Nikeann07:animal-pa |
