 awwwwwwwww,, Bless His Bones!!! surely was hoping for better news for ya,, hang in there,, poor baby!!! Nothing but the best ,,,,, |
aw poor Bernie. however a migrating pin is a much better outcome then another broken bone or something wrong with his hip or knee. The procedure is easy and quick. He should only have a small incision so the doc can go in and get the pin out. Bernie will be sore for a few days but nothing compared to the first surgery. He'll have a small hole in his bones that will need to heal so your vet will probably tell you to restrict his exercise for the next two weeks. Slow walks and no romping around the house. no beds or furniture, nothing he can jump on or jump off of. He'll be as good as new in a few short weeks and you can be done with this whole ordeal. :) |
That is one stylin! bike ride for the kids. They look so cute. |

I hope Bernie is feeling well soon. |
Ah....Judy, I'm sorry Bernie has to have surgery again. :( But it sounds like it won't be a very invasive procedure. Hang in there, all of you. Give Bernie a hug from Rudy & Lucky & me. :hug60: I'll be thinking of him and you and saying a prayer that his surgery goes well. :hands: |
Hope Bernie is feeling a little better today. Keep us posted OK? Tink sends nuzzles and nose licks to Bernie and you.:) |
Any more news? Hope Bernie is resting and feeling better. Toto sends him hugs & smoochies!! ;) |
Oh, my sweet Bernie! I hope the surgery goes well and Bernie is back to normal as soon as possible. I'm sending a prayer and a hug to you, sweet boy. (hug) |
Judy how is Bernie doing?? (((HUGS))) |
Bernie's Guardian Angel Bernie is home from surgery!!!! :yay_jump: :yay_jump: :yay_jump: :yay_jump: :yay_jump: :yay_jump: He is home and resting. The vet expects a full recovery!:) We thought we were just taking him in for a consult with the vet who did the original surgery. They had asked us not to feed him after midnight just in case...Well, he looked Bernie over, checked out his x-rays and felt confident that the pin was migrating and causing the problem. Then...he offered to do the surgery right then and there!!!! We are so relieved that the hardest part of Bernie's ordeal is over. Knowing we wouldn't have the funds to pay for surgery for a few days, we asked about cost and payment plan...You can imagine our amazement when we were told there would be no charge! So, the man who, just over a year ago, had worked miracles on Bernie when several other vets said "no", once again, performed his magic and got Bernie ready to come home with us and heal! I was so afraid of this whole thing, and it's turned out so well. Bernie truly has a guardian angel that works overtime! Thank you all for all of your support!!! |
