rest & take care of yourself. The weekdays will be here soon enough. You did what was best for Rainbow, by insisting the testing was done now rather than later. Praying for excellent news

Many yorkie prayers are coming your way. Your angel will be fine. Get some rest so that you can be fresh next week. Look at all of the people who are concerned about you and Rainbow. You both are surrounded by love and prayers. God bless.

I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you! YT is the best! I am amazed at the support and love I have felt in this crisis. I know that you all KNOW and understand the love I feel for my babies. I cannot imagine not having all of you to help ease the pain I have been feeling.

I just wanted to say that I will be praying that you get good test results for Rainbow. Try to get some rest this weekend and I hope you feel better soon!

Have any one tried the AvoDerm Natural {vegetarin}dry dog food? That is what I have been trying to get Maggie to eat,
Crude protein ....18.00 o/o
crude fat....8.00 o/o
Does that sound like it would be good to give?

I bought some regular AvoDerm awhile back and my dogs did not care too much for it and then I read that avocado's are dangerous for dogs so I threw it all away.

I know what you are going through. Conner went to the vet for LP surgery. The vet called and said they could not do the surgery because of his liver levels. He has had a couple of tests since then, and the vet said he is not overly concerned-that these may be normal numbers for Conner. Conner had no symptoms and the vet said we would not know if he wern't having surgery. He put him on medication and Hills l/d dry food (he gave me canned, but Conne did not like it). We have to go back in 45 days and Conner will be retested.

I am thinking of you and hoping for the best.

Something occured to me in looking at the above quote from Rainbow's bloodwork. I have been doing so much research to try to understand what is going on. I had no idea what hemolysis is so I did some searches and let me say what I THINK it is saying. Basically what I think it is saying is that the sample was not properly taken or possibly not handled properly and that caused the red blood cells to burst. I THINK what that comment is saying is that hemolysis DID occur (1+) and that it is effecting the results. Am I way off base here? I hope Michelle (MyFairLacey) reads this... Maybe she knows what it is saying.

also could this be why the vet suggested waiting and re-doing the test in 4-6 weeks?

Even if the ALT was falsely elevated 20%, it is still way too high.:(
