Odie ate an ear plug??? ( I think)
 
Hi there,
I have a 10 week old furbaby who I think ate an ear plug.
I called animal 911 and they said to wait to see if the plug comes out or to make him vomit.
I know that there is a way to do this but I am unsure of just how to do it.
Is there anyone here who can help me please... I am so worried about Odie:(

oh Nicole... i know someone else's pup on here ate an earplug on here once.. she was also very upset... but the next morning it came out :) i woudln't induce vomiting... i think it involves peroxide and makes me nervous.
Did you all the E-vet on Adelaide?? i hear they are really good.. i'd take their word and let it pass.

Thanks for the support.. Geez this little man is going to drive me nuts..
I love him to pieces but man can he ever get into mischief
We have given him some bread and some liver treats which usually give him a good run for his money. So I expect that he will pass it soon enough.

for sure! but if he doesn't poop tomorrow when he normally poops i'd call the vet and see what they think
APPARENTLY ear plugs are tasty to dogs!

I was thinking that perhaps he isn't getting enough to eat if he is munching on weird stuff
I am giving him a teaspoon of wellness puppy food 4 times a day
so many be he isn't getting enough

well it says on the Wellness homepage that if he is 3 lbs he should get 1.5 cups... so i'd say he should be getting at least 3/4 c... is he on the puppy formula???
HOw do you think he would do if you free fed him? Usually i'm not for that but when they are so tiny i think it is ok. Layla was free fed and did very well. I'm guessing he is not getting enough... 4 tsp a day is not a lot... try giving him more.. see if he will stop when he is full.

hi, last week buttons pooped and there was two big earplugs, i have no idea where she got them. i would check to make sure she can pass them where she is so small....

I didn't think that 4 tsps wasn't much because he is always munching on whatever I give him. I didn't want to over feed him either.
His food is a wet food so leaving it out wouldn't be a great idea. He doesn't like the hard stuff yet..lol
I am sure that once those teeth have come in and he is ready he will eat the hard stuff

I have given Odie some bread and some liver treats too so hopefully he'll be ok
I really wonder if he is missing foam rubber in his diet..lol

OH... the wet food ok... well what does the back say? i'd just go with what it suggests... but if you think he is still hungry you can always give him snacks... fruit.. bananas... carrots, egg... just to hold him over :)

As soon as we get a digital camera!!! We are waiting for a gift certificate from work and we will be hitting Best Buy for the camera that the hubby wants and then look out there will be Odie pics coming out the wahzoo!!!!:D

keep a VERY close eye on him Especially because he is so small.. dont' let strangers hold him.. in a blink they can be gone with him. i don't want to scare you but we hear on here ALL the time pups who go missing.. and i think the smaller they are the greater the risk. I always say... she woudl love it if you would pet her but she isn't comfortable with other people holding her.

i know.. when people ask to hold him you just want to say yes but you never know... it's scary the things people will do to get a small puppy... i'm especially careful in places like petsmart where there is just so much going on... it could happen in a second.

The only weird thing Kaba eats is POOP. Its so disgusting!! Whether it be her's or the cats, she really doesnt care. She gets plenty of food, its just her tasty little treat! We are working on it but you have to watch her like a hawk with that.
