My first thought is liver shunt.:(
It is weird that your Yorkie isn't coming out of it though.

I hope she is ok. I understand you waiting until morning to take her in. It is one thing to drive 20 miles in a foot of snow in daylight to someplace you are familiar with; and quite another to drive 50 miles in a foot of snow at night to someplace you don't normally go. If you guys had a wreck last night trying to drive her in who knows what condition you all would be in...

We're praying for you! I hope it isn't a liver shunt...this sounds like what happened to Teddi, her toxic levels were so high she was going into toxic shock. You need to get to a vet ASAP.

I just got home my baby Lea had to be put to sleep
Her neck was broke
The vet doesn't think she had a seizure,
Though what I described to him was a petite seizure?
And in that case was fine to see this morning
Now he thinks that she was just struggling to breathe
He said do not feel quilty.A emergency vet could not have helped her
The break was so severe :(
And you didnt need to get in an accident as some of you said.
And he said maybe the snowstorm was a blessing,
as we got to be with her for the rest of the night and lay beside her,
tell her we loved her and kiss that little nose.
She wasnt in pain and breathing well...so I hope she didnt suffer
The vet said she didnt and he was sure she knew how loved she was last night.I cried so hard, I held her while they put her to sleep.
She went peacefully but I am just crushed she was only 18 months old, and I had bottlefed her, she was like my baby
I am laying down for a long cry and try to get some sleep

Oh I am soooo sorry :( Bless your heart. I know how much this hurts.

I wish there was something I could do to help you through this time. I remember all to well the pain I felt and still feel after losing Peanut.

I forgot to tell you what the vet and I now think happened.
I came home, and I know you all know how these babies can be waiting on the back of the couch looking out the window for you.
Well ours run from couch to the chair when we come in.
It wasnt even five monutes when we seen her on the floor, not moving by my chair with what I thought was a seizure.
The vet and I think she was so happy that she jumped from the chair and either came down on her neck.Or one of the others jumped down right on her neck.
I cant sleep...maybe if I get this out I will later.
My husband starts crying then I cry even more.
I know many of you have went thru this...Its so painful

I agree with the Vet, it was a blessing that you could not drive in. She had that precious time with you to feel your love and know how much you cared.

Oh my lord, how horrible. I am so so sorry for you and that little girl...I did not know a broken neck could not be fixed...I'm feeling for my girls now as they do the same..they're just sooo happy to see the car pulling up that they jump from the couch to the floor and back again...

I\'m soooo sorry! I wish I could give you a big hug. What a sad loss. This is the same thing that happened to my first yorkie...I only got to love him for about a month or so...he was too tiny and we don\'t even know how he broke his neck.

God bless you...I hope you can hold on to your lovely memories of her...
