Help- hurt leg Sorry I have another ost about this but need some input! Vet's office said he can't see him untill 2 this afternoon! I know if I got to talk to him- he would look at it now! But, that didn't happen. This vet has no xrays- should I just go on and take him to Vet School?? He is not in pain, but is bummed out!He looks so sad:( |
I have called 2 vet's office here in town- and the vet school- got put on a machine there! Noone can get him in- I do not know what to do!!! |
Is there a referral hospital in your area? You know where they have orthopaedic surgeons, dermatologists, neurologists and such in the same place? Around here it also serves as our emergency hospital during the night hours. I'm thinking perhaps they would be able to get him in today and would certainly have the ability to take x-rays. |
It was a chipped bone! He is napping- and I am headed there ,too- I am just zapped of all my strength! |
aww....poor guy. What do they do for that? |
I am glad his leg was not broke. What did the vet do for him? I hope he gets to feeling better soon. |
So sorry he is hurting:( hope he is better soon. |
:( Hope your baby is OK! |
Poor baby! I hope he is Ok. |
Get well wishes for your sweet baby! Is that painful for your baby? You said your baby was napping I hope everything is ok.. Keep us posted |
He is in a splint! And an E collar, of course!I am so glad I took him to MU Vet School and had xrays! It would of never been caught if I had not!And they are so nice there! No one could get me in my home town, called they said can you be here in a hour or so- I was warming the car up for him- getting stuff together- and out the door we went! They gave him pain killer- so they could move the leg into different positions for the Xrays. And they sent me home with a script of Caprofen- give him 1/2 pill in Am and PM! he goes back in 1 week to check it and change splint! Then again 1 wk after that for more xrays! Banjo does not like his booboo- he is use to playing hard! Not for a while! |
