YTers I need your prayers
 
Girls,
I believe in the power of prayers and right now I really need some support.
I had to take Jerome to the emergency vet last night b/c he was vomiting and vomiting and vomiting, then he got diaherrea. He had to stay overnight there. The diagnosis: Pancreatitis. This morning I picked him up and took hi straight to the his regular vet. Same diagnosis, but right now he is not eating and he still has diarrhea. The vet told me that he is going to keep him overnight with fluids and all that, he is afraid that by sending home he will get dyhadrated and get worse. I asked him if someone stays overnight with him he answer no, but they have machines that can control the dogs temperature or I don't know what else he told me. I'm just very worried about my baby. I feel guilty in a way b/c I changed his ID food to royal canine HE food and that is when he started getting sick, but doctors tell me that it could had been something else, not necessarily the food.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE KEEP MY BABY IN YOUR PRAYERS SO THAT HE CAN GET WELL. I REALLY NEED YOU YT FAMILY I REALLY DO NEED YOU ALL.:cry: :cry:

i hope he is able to get some strength back and be the happy, healthy puppy he wants to be!

Please don't let him stay overnight. It would be dangerous. He would be on an IV unsupervised and not feeling well.

Have you asked for vet if you can give subcutaneous fluids at home and take him back during the day?

Prayers for your little Jerome. Pancreatitis is such a scary thing. I'm glad your vet is keeping him overnight. He needs to be on fluids to get him through this.

Prayers are coming your way. Is there anyway to move him to the 24 hour vet. I would rather he be there or home where you can watch him and get him in to the er vet if needed. If no one is watching him at night he is better off with you.

He does need to be there overnight. Pancreatitis is a very serious situation.
I had one in ER for a week due to Pancreatits. Your vet is doing the right thing by keeping him there

I totally agree. Pancreatitis is serious. That is why he needs supervision. :(

No update. I talked to the vet while I was at work around 7 p.m. and he told me it was better if Jerome stayed there. Still not eating and a little diarrhea. :(
My heart its torn right now. I want to hug my baby. When I got off work the vet had already closed.:(
Thank you all for your prayers and please keep praying for my baby to get well.

Zoey is sending puppy kisses and prayers his way. Poor baby. Pancreatitis can be managed with a proper diet I think and meds.
