Ok Didnt have time to come back on last night. He is fine neuro showed he has all normal functions, No MRI was done as he was playing and bouncing up and down. Vet has instructed me to just monitor him for any changes. So far the only change I see is he is him being back to his normal self. Crossing my fingers that there isnt some internal problem that may occur later on. But keeping an eye on him. Thanks for the support. Yes, it was scarey |

Thank you all so much. I just had some stuff to do last night and then before I knew it, it was midnight and didnt come back online. last night was a bit hectic, hence my not posting until now. Thank you all so kindly for your overwhelming support. I know one thing, little Bandit wont be just in my arms like that again, i will wrap my fingers around his harness from now on so he wont ever fall again. |

Sure I went to the vet immediately after my post on the initial topic and I kept an eye on him all night long for changes which didnt come, praise the lord for that. he really seems fine. I am almost thiking of puttin a little hard hat on him and the other pup. I heard that they make little football hats for pups or small dogs |
I'm so glad you took your baby in. My son's dog (a big, big dog), slipped on his tile floors and hit her head on the floor. It caused bleeding on the brain and despite the best efforts of the vet, my son lost his best friend - he's not married and always called her "his little girl". With any type of head injury, it's always best to get it checked imo. Prayers for you and Bandit! |
Glad your baby is fine, |
I'm so glad that your little baby is ok. What a scare you had. |
Thanks so much all. And what is hard is that he fell out my arms so you can imagine how I felt. I am keeping him home with me while Bijour goes to the forest for some fun and games. I didnt want Bandit to go just wanted to keep an eye on him. Little stinker is sleeping on my winter drapes I just took down to put up the spring ones:D |
Glad to hear your baby is fine , |
That's great news! :D Don't beat yourself up either, these things happen sometimes no matter how hard we try to protect them...that's why they are called acccidents. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that he stays happy and well. |
I'm so pleased everything was ok...it can happen so easily though..especially if you are in a rush or distracted...if i'm holding Pixie while out and about I also have her leash wrapped around my hand so if she did fall her harness would break her fall. |
oh my goodness, this concerns me. My mcdreamy fell saturday, jsut about 6 or 7 inches from my grasp. But enough to actually KNOCK HIM OUT. I Rushed to the vet hospital, where after about 2 or 3 minnutes, he came too. they werent sure if it was shock, seizure or a concussion, but they dont seems to think he needs any special testing at this time. I'm a little concerned. they kept him for the first 6 hrs for observation. he's been at the dr. every day since, loose stools, not really eating much. (no vomiting tho). BOTH vets just dont seem to think he needs aby Neuro exam at this point. hes almost 2 years old, and only 2 lbs. i dont know WHAT to do at this point. Quote:

Im glad your baby's ok, please still keep a good eye on him. My little Minnie they we lost Jan 9th had fell off the back of the couch 3 months before she died. and never made a sound, it was on carpet but still she acted scared or like she was hurting we had to her to the vet and by then she seemed fine, a few months later her an Mickey was running to look out the window at the cats, some how they ran into each other or she had ran into the couch. Im not sure witch one but I heard her yelp and walk away slowly. we took her back to the vet he said she was in pain an thought it was her back or shoulder neck area. said shed prob be sore a few days and gave her pain pills, next day she seemed fine. 30 days after that she couldn't stand. rushed her back to the vet. said it was prob her back that maybe she hurt it again. but this time it seemed way worse to me and I know she didn't get hurt we were all sleeping. well he put her on meds and sent her home again, I had asked him to check her head and her back. he only felt around and I asked for x rays but no he said shed be fine. went home next day even worse and took her back again. she died. what Im trying to say is me and my DH both think it was in her head. the second vet we took her too said he thought it was a tumor. but I just keep thinking maybe it was all from hitting her head the month before. no she didn't act hurt she played ran crazy like she always did. but then she woke up like this. and I cant help but keep thinking it was from that time she must of hit her head. |
OMG!!! That's EXACTLY what i am afraid of.i dont know WHAT to do. You cant FORCE the vets to do something when they think its not needed, yet. Quote:
