I would have kicked that pitbull in the head |
OMG I couldn't watch it - I knew what was going to be shown and it really CAN Happen in a split second - When we see someone with bigger dogs - no matter IF SOMEONE SAYS THEY ARE FRIENDLY - you have to watch out BIG time - these small breeds are just too suspectible to attacks Just tonight - I met a neighbor walking his really BOG dog and I took mine right back to the house (apartment) - he told me his dog LOVED other dogs - but there was no way I was taking a chance and he did have his dog on a leash - That poor little dog - I really hate hearing about dog attacks but it happens way more than we think:( :( :( :( |
I'm not going to watch it, not now. Maybe later. |
Cant watch but two seconds of that...I never let my dogs around any other strange dogs for fear of that happening.. Dawn |
I certainly hope that the attacking dogs' owner is brought to justice, that dumb b#tch! That poor little baby:cry: |
Well, from everyone's description I know I can't watch the video:( My neighbor has the friendliest pit bull but they allow him to run around loose when he goes out to potty and I've stopped taking my babies outside - now that I have 3 I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to keep all of them safe if he, or any dog, went nuts:( |
We had a pitt bull discussion on her before and this was my response to people saying pitt bulls are perfectly safe to have with Yorkies. "Bitting and nipping are different that mauling. There is a reason why Pitt Bulls kill and its not ALWAYS the owners fault. Pitt Bulls are always in the news for the terror they cause on animals. There was recently a case in the UK where a little girl was killed by a Pitt Bull that was friendly. I think Pitt Bulls are illegal in the UK too" Some member decided to PM me this response i work with dogs of all sizes daily im not ignorant and do not judge a dog because of its breed and have no empathy or acceptance for people who do ! taking off a finger is not nipping do not just posy whatever when you do not know anything! there are many other breeds that kill they are animals they do not know better humans do ! think what you want that doesn't mean your right! everyone has an opinion! i have also been attack by dogs or cats or whatever but ill never hold a breed responsible and just think they are all vicious they are ANIMALS. breed specific legisation is ignorance based! recently a girl was mauled here locally by white english bulldogs on the news so what that doesn't mean all white english are killers..do not message me back! ----- Looks like I am on the right track here. |
I can't watch it because I know I'll never be able to get it out of my head and I just will be so anxious. We frequently go to a dog friendly park where dogs aren't allowed off leash but their owners always ignore the rules. We've called the police a few times and do nothing -- wish they thought more about what could happen. We now scope out the park before we go there for walks and if there are any off leash dogs we go extremely far away or come back when there's noone there. |
BTW: Forgot to mention that Chloe was attacked by a Pitt Bull at the dog park today. Read my thread in General Discussion. |
I did not watch this video I just signed on to the last page but my heart goes out to all involved and that sweet chiuaua.... I am not into graphic stuff... Can not stomach it!:) |

This cracks me up. It's ok for her to PM you HER opinion - but not for you to PM her YOUR opinion! :grin2: :thumbdown |
:( :( How horrible. I feel the owner's pain ... :( :( :( |
I watched this a couple of days ago and I still can't stop thinking about it...to be honest it has made me MORE nervous when out with Pixie....sometimes i think you can forget how quickly this can happen...you cannot afford to let your guard down..not even for a second. Stay safe when out with your little ones my friends.;) |
OMG! I'm so mad about this!! I could probably punch something. I don't think these dogs should even be allowed in dog parks. There are towns in Alabama that don't even allow these dogs at all because of children.   I've read about to many attacks at dog parks. I've decided when I do take Riley to the dog park, I'm bringing a baseball bat. Trust me if ANY dog attacks my Riley, I will beat it's head in. Sorry for being so blunt. :-D Why are these dogs so mean???? |
Oh my what an awful to thing to happen and to watch!! My heart goes out to the owner, what a terrifying experience it must have been for her. I do hope they find the dogs and the owner and are able to do something about it. It sounds like the owner of the pits didn't even try anything to get her dogs off of him. Please keep in mind that any big dog has the potential to do this, not just pittbulls. I remember taking Daisy to the dog park when she was younger. She was still a puppy but mostly grown so she didn't look like a puppy. A big dog, a husky I believe, all the sudden came over and started attacking her. He had her down on her back and was going for her throat. It all happened so fast. But the owner was right there and was able to pull her dog off immediately. Luckily Daisy wasn't hurt other than a few scratches and scrapes. But ever since then she has had a fear aggression for dogs who are bigger than her. If Daisy wasn't a big dog herself I can almost bet we would have lost her that day. The moral of the story, ANY bigger dog can attack and kill, so be weary of all unknown big dogs coming around your yorkie. |
