Awwww!!! So happy Gracie is doing well. She is so precious. Love her little butt. I told Romeo he couldn't look. LOL. Keep up the good work Gracie. It won't be long before you're running with sis.

Gracie seems to be doing OK today. She slept better last night than the night before (which was a bad night). She is eating and drinking well, and her little GI tract is starting to normalize. I think she may still be in some pain with activity as she does not seem to want to romp around as much as she did when she had her casts on. I have been tempted to give her more Rimadyl but am trying not to. She seems comfortable enough as long as she is resting quietly. I can tell it hurts her to stand up and move around after resting for a long time. She is sleeping a lot like any post-op patient, which is a good thing.

So glad you got your cast off Gracie.....Bailey says you are on your way to a full recovery and maybe you can see him in Kansas.....He Love you sooooooooo MUCH Gracie!!!

aww Gracie you look so great! I'm so glad she finally has her cast off.... she must be so relieved!! I will be checking back for daily updates:D

Thank you for continuing to update us on sweet Gracie. This is how we learn, and helps to lessen the fear of approaching surgery. We almost need a surgery section with tabs for specific procedures.

Give her a special hug from Charlie and hope she is staying warm enough. Chilly in Seattle this week.

The real challenge has begun. I left Gracie sleeping on the sofa yesterday while I cooked dinner. Next thing I knew I heard all heck breaking loose and she and Holly were running around, wrestling, etc. I put Gracie in her ex-pen. She got upset and stood up on her back legs with front legs against the pen walls, crying at me. I then locked her in her crate. The look on that little dog's face! You would think she had lost her best friend being locked up in there. The doctor said no running, stairs, or jumping on her back legs and she has done all three more than once. This will be a long couple of weeks indeed. Her skin is looking much better.

So glad Gracie is feeling better. Your so right, now the real challenge begins!!! It's really hard keeping them from running and jumping.

Bless her little heart...I just wanna scoop her up and smother her in kisses...that little darling has been so brave...she looks much more comfortable & happier....the worst is over my dear.;)

I thought I would post a quick update. Gracie is doing well. It takes all my patience to keep her quiet. I have finally resorted to letting Holly and Gracie out of their pens at separate times to prevent the insatiable desire to romp! Gracie's GI tract is till out of whack. She eats one good meal a day. Every other day, around 3 am :mad: she has a BM. First part is normal, last part is diarrhea and she gets it everywhere. This girl cannot poop on one spot of the pee pad, she has to spin around and do it everywhere! I'm getting really tired of washing feet at 3:30 am. :mad: I wish I could get her regulated. I know it is the lack of activity and eating less that is doing this. If anyone has suggestions I am more than open. She is eating her regular dog food now. I'm limiting treats to just a few Yorkie Yummies each evening.

try giving her some yogurt. her GI tract is out of whack because of the ABs she was on. The yogurt may help get things back to normal
