Going to the vet...something isn't right.
 
We are taking Xavier to the vet tonight.
His rash around his privates was originally the reason, but now his stools are soft and seems to maybe be bleeding when he poos/pees. Also, he's been a lot more aggressive the past few days...his "nibbling" actually is hurting! Are these any signs for anything specific? Does anyone know of any questions I should plan on asking the vet?:confused: :confused:

This worries me even more because of the whole CKC registration thing. Hopefully I'm just over-reacting...Hopefully. :scratchhe

I hope your baby will be okay. The "nibbling" is probably just a puppy thing he is going through. How old is he now? Just make sure the vet does a stool sample. What food is he on? When were his last vaccinations? The rash may just be a allergic reaction to something but the blood is what I would really be worried about. Please keep us posted.

He's 3 months tomorrow. He's had 4 sets of vaccinations, the last set was on Jan 22nd. He's on Merrick's Puppy Plate, kibble mostly, but sometimes kibble & canned mixed together. He's done great with Merrick, but who knows, maybe the food isn't right for him?

The dog food sounds like a good one, 28% protein and good ingredients.

I am curious about the vaccinations. Do you know at what age he started his shots and was he given multiple shots at one time or single shots. I start mine on their shots at 10 weeks, distemper and parvo only, and the second set at around 14 weeks. So mine just get 2 sets of shots. I was curious as to what shots your vet gives and how he does it. Over vaccination can effect the immune system and sometimes the problems will not show up until weeks or months later. I hope your baby will be o.k. Please let us know what the vet says.

He's had 3 Distemper-Hepatitis shots, 4 Parvo shots, 3 Parainfluenza shots, 1 Leptospirosis shot so far. He had his 1st Parvo shot at 4 weeks; at 6 & 9 weeks he had Distemper, Parvo & Parainfluenza; at 11.5 weeks he had Distemper,Parvo, Lepto, & Parainfluenza. (According to his record from the vet in MS.)Thats all I know so far; his "breeder" is the one who started his shot schedule... I'm thinking she wasn't the greatest.
I'll update after we get to the vet.

Sorry to say but I would definitely say your baby has been over-vaccinated. No wonder he is sick. PLEASE just google 'danger canine vaccination' and read up on what over vaccination can do. I hope he has nothing serious.

My baby is on merricks puppy plate, switching over from bil-jac. She is so GASSY and her stools are now very soft.
There was a drop of blood the other day after she pooped, but just one tiny drop and not since.
I was wondering if it is that food and I need something easier on her tummy.

Thats the way his was. Just tiny drop of blood, but it happened twice this morning. It has happened again today though:confused:. Xavier is also very gassy...maybe it could be the Merrick's? I'd ask the vet, but I doubt he'd know...

She was fine on the bil-jac, I am really thinking it could be the merricks. I may have to switch back for her. Right now its half of each.

I've been reading up on it...ugh! I'm so glad that we are getting him into a really good vet tonight. I'm now even more worried. It's probably safe to say that his "breeder" was no good. My mother-in-law bought him as a gift for me, and she was told that he was "registered". The lady gave her a 72 hour health warranty, and she "sounded" like she checked out. We live 3,600 miles away, so I didn't meet the "breeder". When I received his CKC registration papers, a red flag went up. Now, I'm thinking his "breeder" was a puppy mill broker:thumbdown !
I just hope he's ok. I love him so much and cannot imagine if something bad happened to him. I'll be praying...he'll be okay, we'll get this all taken care of.
