Need Advice ASAP!
 
I noticed today that Gracie has been going pee pee every 15 or 20 min. Sometimes it is just a tiny itsy bitsy drop..I dunno what that means..She has been doing all day today.:( She has been eating and drinking normal..Should i be worried? does she have an infection? sigh..i think i am taking her to the vet tomorrow! Any advice or suggestion will be helpful!

she might have a bit of an infection....better to be safe than sorry.

Probably just needs an antibiotic. I agree, that it's best to go see the vet.

It sounds like a UTI. Hopefully that's all it is and antibiotics will take care of it.:)

she might have a UTI. see if you can get a urine sample to bring to the vet with you.

yeah..i am taking her first thing in the morning tomorrow..i hope it is nothing serious..:( and antibiotic is all she needs...Poor Baby, it is her 1st birthday tomorrow..she is gonna be 1!!!!

sounds like a UTI most likely...take her to the vet and have them do a urinalysis...that's most likely what it is.

Well Happy Birthday early. And it probably is a UTI and she needs meds to get better. Hope you get it taken care of.

do you know what causes UTI? Because i am like always wiping their bottoms like a crazy lady..and keep all their private parts clean and stuff..so i am just curious

if you are using the scented baby wipes. Stop. Only use unscented ones just in case. But that might not be it all. sometimes it is just a bacteria they pick up.

i only use the unscented sensitive skin ones..i hope they didn't pick it up from the daycare...sigh..i wish i can just put them in the sealed bubble..:rolleyes: so they can't catch anything..

they are dogs. dogs do some things that are a little gross, so they are bound to get an infection every now and then. they lick the floors and then lick um, other things. Their not as clean as you think. Also think of how you get UTIs. could be stress related, a sanitary issue, or just a fluke.

Layla had a day of doing that probably a week ago.. we went out every half hour and she would squat.. and then we'd come back in.. sometimes nothing came out... it passed tho.. hope it's the same way for your pup!

Ellie seem to pee in the wrong place a few time last June and it went away. I took her anyway and she has a UTI.:(

I thought it had passed but it didn't. It started back up again.

Gracie just goes to her pee pee pad but it's sooo frequent. She is usually the queen of holding her pee pee which makes me sooo worried at time. So i know there is something wrong when she has to go every so often.

holding it too long can also cause an infection. has she been doing this recently before the frequent urinating?

Miko did this when he had stones...Make sure your vet does a urinalysis and checks for crystals...This is very important..

well..she does it every now and then. But most days she will go every few hours. But there are days where she will hold it til like 8 or 9 am which is long cuz the girls wake up at 6am and they usually go right away..

I THINK I READ WHERE YOU JUST TOOK HER TO VET AND IF THEY GAVE HER A INJECTION SHE COULD BE HAVING SIDE EFFECTS! THIS HAPPENED TO BLEU BOY HE IS COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED AND I TOOK HIM TO VET AND OH MY STARS IN HEAVEN HE WAS PEEING EVERY 30 MIN I CALLED THEM BECAUSE I KNEW IT WAS OUT OF THE NORM AND SHE SAID THE INJECTION HE GOT MADE HIM URINATE MORE AND WITHIN 3 DAYS HE WAS BACK TO NORMAL !

Hi Everyone,
Sorry it took so long for me to update. I took Gracie to the vet first thing in the morning and they did urine sample, ultra sound, etc..She has UTI but she said not to worry cuz it's quite common..gosh i was asking her how and why she got it since i am sooo careful with them. So she said i did nothing wrong :) , sometimes it just happens. Gracie love is on antibiotics now and the vet said she should be back to herself in no time. I wanted to let everyone know as soon as i got out but i had to drop the furbutts at day car e and also had to get some doggie cupcakes the next door to day care cuz today is gracie's 1st Birthday! Then i had to rush to work since i had soo many things to do. they celebrated her birthday at daycare without me since i had to go to work..I got Pizza for the staff there. I was sad cuz i couldn't get any pics..so hopefully Gracie will feel better soon! She's playing and eating as usual. So i guess it's a good sign.
