Surgery hasn't been scheduled yet...we are still trying to clear up this infection that she has (she is on meds) and once that is completely gone, we will go from there. I want this infection gone...but I have to admit, scheduling the surgery is NOT something I'm looking forward to  |

Big hugs to you and Maxy boy and thank you again so much for everything girl...we just love ya  |
Yeah Rogan had to have it twice and they did both knees at the same time. It was horrible and I don't think its common. What happened with Rogan is my vet didn't go in aggressive enough and didn't make the grove in the bone deep enough and he had to re do it :( It was horrible. To make matters worse, after the 1st surgery the 1st night he was home, he tore out ALL the stitches in one of his knees and the whole skin flap was open and I went to the floor (almost passed out) while hubby was on the phone pageing our vet. He had to actually wash out the open leg and put neosporin on it and bandage it up (I was STILL on the kitchen floor) and the vet met us at his office :( So if you do have surgery, make SURE Tatum wears the cone :( I felt bad and took Rogans off and this is what happened. I thought I was never going to get through all that, but I did. Tatum will do GREAT! Rogan having it twice isn't a regular occurance, my vet just didn't want to over do it the first time and well.....I guess he should have. Quote:

Brooke, it will be all better soon. I know it's so hard to know your little furfriend is going to have a tough surgery and recovery. But you are doing the best you can for her and we just have to believe that all will be good again when she is recovered. Just be the patient loving mom (who you?!) that we all know you are and soon this will be a dim memory! I still have little Tatum on my YT prayerboard. Let us know when you schedule the surgery. |
Hi Brooke I watched Tatum's first birthday video right after I read this thread. I cried for her and for you watching this video... Let them be little was the perfect song to go with it. My prayer are for you and Tatum. I know hw much you love her. Here's the link in case any one wants to see this great video of cutie pie Tatum... get your tissues out!!! http://www.onetruemedia.com/otm_site...edium=text_url |
So sorry to hear about little Tatum :( I'll be praying for a safe surgery, and a speedy recovery. |
Continuing to pray for you when you are overwhelmed by so many decisions and concerns about what the allergic reaction could be & where to have the surgery. |

I know how you feel lily is going in for her Lp surgery on Mon. I am praying for you and your Tatum. |
Brooke, I really have you on my mind today! I hope today is a good day...I re read this entire thread to see if I had missed anything and I became quite concerned when you said your breeder wanted you to take your baby to her vet! Sounds like my breeder. It also was familiar and trust me I know this for a fact ... Bleu has been the only Yorkie Neck surgery in Texas A& M here recently and matter of fact there is only one other reported case.... My fair Lacy correct me if I am wrong please.... I want you to know I trust these people with my life... They are so informative and educated... I honestly would have a consultation with Dr. Heitlich our surgeon.. She is on orthopedics this week... So she just does not do NEURO.. She does it ALL! We have rearranged our whole schedule to meet hers so she could continue Bleus Care.. I dont want anyone else... She is from Germany and did all her studying there and she is one phenominal woman... She will make you feel so comfortable .... If you do go to College Station... Please I utterly beg you to let me know... I will be there for your support... I will even introduce you to our surgeon... What ever I can do to help ... Whatever I can do to help ease your mind and get TATOR TOT back on the road again I will..... I could not have done it without the support of you guys.. I was rereading back through some posts and there are so many that care that I hope I meet one day ... You are in that bunch... Let us help you .. that is what we are here for.. I will be honest with you and I have not shared this with anyone else but .. CRB AND MY FAIRLACY coming to visit me meant so much.. I wanted them there for the support but did not want them to be inconvenienced... You and Tatum are not inconveniencing us... We are all one big family let us help you as much as we can.... I was afraid to accept help I could not figure out that people who did not eeven know me would care for me and Bleu as much as they do... Well we are all in this together ONE BIG FAMILY!! Hugs One question does your breeders name start with a J and hubbys start with a W? if so we have the same breeder! I thought I would ask since you are in Texas! |
Brooke~ I am just now seeing this thread. I am so sorry to read about little Tatum. You guys will be in our thoughts...please keep us updated on everything! Sending lots and lots of well wishes to that sweet girl. Tammy |
