Phew Lucky me just found this thread and saved myself a ton of worry over little Paris. So glad she made it through the surgery now I hope she surprises everyone and lives healthy and to a nice old age of at least 20. |
Thanks so much for the update:) I'm so happy that she's doing well and hope that she continues to recover. What a little fighter:love:! Prayers will continue here:hands: |
Please say a prayer for little Paris Keep up the fight little one, we are all praying for you to live to be at least 20. :happyboun :happyboun:getwellso |
Thanks everyone for all the kind comments. I just found out that Paris came home today. I was absolutely shocked. I thought she had to stay there longer but I was wrong. Apparently she's walking around and doing very well. They have to keep her calm and not allow her to play. I'm so amazed by his little girl and I still can't believe how well she's doing. They shaved a lot of hair off, so she keeps getting chilled very easy. I suggested a heating pad, so I think her mommy is going to buy one today. Does anyone have any suggestions on some type of clothing she could wear that would be easy to get on and off? She really needs a few things to help keep her warm but wearing sweaters and shirts are not a good idea right now. With all her stitches lifting the arms like that isn't worth the risk. I was trying to think of something I could make for her but I'm clueless. Anyways, I'm just blabbing away here and wanted to thank everyone again for the kind words. :) |
Gez, I just found this thread but I am so happy to hear that little Paris is doing so well!   |
Good news for sure. If you do decide to put clothes on her, don't put anything on her that pulls over her head. I like the velcro type that stick together under the tummy. Instead of a heating pad, you could also fill a sock up with white rice, and tie it at one end. Then, heat the rice to a nice warm temp, about 50 seconds, and put that on the outside of her blanket. I do this for Sadie after her bath, and she loves it. Good luck, and keep us posted. |
Awww, she's home!! What a little trooper she is! I am glad to hear that she is doing so well, that is wonderful :) I think that a heating pad would be a great idea, but as far as CLOTHES go...I just don't know about that :( Being that this baby just had surgery, I personally wouldn't want to be dressing her. I know she is getting cold, but I honestly would just do a heating pad and some warm, soft comfy blankets and that's all. And of course a warm soft bed :) I would also make sure that the house isn't kept too cold and no ceiling fans are on. Big hugs to little Paris and I am so happy that she is doing so well! |
I just love happy endings to stories like this! I'm so glad she was able to get the surgery and made it through with flying colors. Please keep us updated as you're able and know that my prayers are going up with everyone elses that she makes a complete recovery. |
