| any ideas please hi and happy new year to you all.my 8mth old mickey has been peeing dark yellow for couple of weeks. at first i thought he wasnt drinking enough(i always have a big bowl of fresh water for him and his sister)but was worried about him so was at the vet today with a urine sample(which was a nightmare trying to get ). anyway vet says his urine is very concentrated and he has protein in it but no blood which means its his kidneys instead of his bladder. he is on antibiotics for ten days then i have to hand in another urine sample after that. is this just an infection and if so how did he get it as bella is peeing normal or could there be a problem with his kidneys. i worry so much and cant bear the thought of my little boy having something wrong. he is jumping around as normal and eating ok. any thoughts. thanks in advance xxx |

| Definately not the expert...but it seems like the infection is more internal rather than the cause of another pup. Sure glad you were able to get him to the vet and get antibiotics so soon. Hope everything goes well...

| Sounds like you were smart to get to the vet asap. I would keep an eye on him. Hopefully this clears up. I am wondering what you feed the yorkies? Food too high in protein can be a problem, but I don't think would cause an infection, but you wouldn't want to make his problems worse.
