I started a thread but thought I would post this here too.

Mickeys in surgery right now.

Just wanted to let you all know. He woke me up this morning wanting to go out and potty, He did pee but you can tell he was starting to strain again and whine in pain. we took him to the ER vet and talked to them awhile. They are going to let us do some kind of payment deal. We decided to just go a have the reg Bladder stone surgery done again instead of the hole . He said some times theres lots of complications after having that kind of surgery done so we decided on the reg bladder surgery and will go from there. Mickey he was going to the vets. He got right in his little cage again, knowing he only goes in there when going to the vets. The Vet held him out to me again before leaving. for another kiss and to tell him I loved him. I then started crying and left

The vet did say by feeling his bladder that it was not full this time, so he had been peeing enough. But the stones just blocked and hurt him.
Please pray for Mickey that he comes out of this ok. Thanks

I posted in your other thread too. But I wanted to mention - I would highly, highly recommend an animal nutritionist I used w/ Marcel. It was for other problems, but she is AMAZING and changed Marcel's health issues in no time. I spent hundreds at the vets - then I found Susan, paid for a telephone consult - and *voila* he was doing better 1.5 days later (after months of problems).

Thanks guy's The vet called about 5:46 and said it went good, Mickeys awake and peed for them, Said They found 4-5 stones. not real big ones but big enough to block hime, said we could pick him up tomorrow after 1:00.

I am SO happy to hear that all went well.
I truly hope that everything goes fine for him now.

Debbie, thank goodness Mickey had the procedure done and seems to be doing well. Now I hope you will find a way to prevent them from coming back, an ounce of prevention may well be worth the time and expense. I'll keep you and Mickey both in my thoughts and prayers...take care.

Thanks everyone, My eye feels back to normal now, to tell the truth it hurt something awful, then with every thing else going on I kind of forgot about me worrying about Mickey and my mom. Moms losing her blood again and man 2007 has been hard on us, I hope and pray 2008 brings us all good health. But my eye it seems to be all healed now. Thanks for asking.
I cant wait to get little Mickey home, I keep thinking of him laying up there at the ER being so scared with out us. Poor little guy. I wonder what caused those darn stones to come back so soon, Hes been eating the Presription UD food so good and always has cold fresh water down. we will be changing his water to bottled water.

I'm wondering about the nutritionist someone else mentioned. It would be fabulous if there was something simple and doable that could prevent them from returning. Try sending an email just to see what response you get...maybe it's the answer you are searching for. As a matter of fact I'm wondering if it would help with Winston's hypoglycemia/seizures...yes he's still having them...darn it. I think it's worth a shot, how about you?

Yes I do plan to email or call them and ask for some help. Ill get back with you all on this when I find out some thing.

My Little mans home. he seems to be in a lot better shape after this surgery then the first one, Last time he could hardley move, this time hes giving kisses and has his tail wagging. he went in his large cage for a nap , but man I was so glad to see that he was so alert this time around. he hurts when he tries to pee, and he hasent ate for two days , so Im about ready to hand feed him or syringe feed him. just wanted to login and let you all know.

The vet waved from the back room when he saw us at the counter. Im happy to say he took a big chunk off of our bill. woohoo. :D

I pray so, too. I am sorry to hear about your mom. Please keep us posted re her condition. Soooo glad Mickey is home and seemingly doing well.
