| Our rescue - Mister Bear We knew MB was old when we got him, not sure exactly how old he was. Anyway, he hasn't been acting right since my Mom passed, we joked that he was really her dog, just living with us. Everyday he would visit her and after she died he spent a lot of time staring out the window towards her house wanting to go visit. I had to keep the blind closed because it just seemed so sad. Well, we took him to the vet and he is shutting down. We had the option of taking him home with pain meds or putting him down. He isn't experiencing pain, just lethargic. He is eating pureed food and drinking on his own for now but the vet says it's just a matter of time now but he wanted us to have the meds just in case. If he starts to show signs of suffering we will take him back but I would rather he die in his own home with us. I had to remove life support from my grandma, first husband and my mother, and I dread having to do that to MB unless it's absolutely necessary. Pray that he passes quietly at home and not in pain, we doubt he'll be around for Christmas and that breaks my heart. The only comfort I can find is that he will be with mom when he goes. |

| I am so sorry to hear about how sad Mister Bear is and his current health condition. These little ones are so aware of what is going on around them and grieve in a way that is so hard to fill the void. Hugs and prayers for all of you.

| This is the time we all dread. I will send a prayer for Mister Bear that he go peacefully at home. I know that will make you feel better and I am sure your Mom eagerly awaits him. That will give you some peace knowing they will be once again together. Hugs, |

| That's too bad. It sounds like you've been through a lot already. It's so hard to let our fur babies go when the time comes. It sounds like he missed you mom a lot - they must have been really good friends. I hope things go smoothly and that he can stay at home with you and pass on his own. Blessings |

| I pray Mister Bear does not suffer. It truly makes you wonder if he has a broken heart! Poor guy.
