Sad Update After 2 weeks of trying everything we could think of with this little guy, he peacefully slipped away yesterday afternoon. It was pretty obvious he had something seriously wrong with him, he was not gaining weight, also his little mouth and tongue would turn blue as I fed him. It was a very hard time for me as some days I would be so hopeful that he would make it, then by the next day it would be so apparent that he was very ill, not just fading puppy or mom not having any milk. Although, I am very sad this happened, now I am going to turn my attention on the 4 very healthy puppies I still have and enjoy every minute that I can with them. I would like to say thank you to everyone for all your prayers and good wishes, who else could understand how 7 oz. of one little dog can be the reason for so many tears:aimeeyork |

Unhappy ending for me! My Yorkie had 4 babies on Nov. 6th. 7 days later, the littlest one weighed only 3 ounces. The vet saw all of them on day 3, and said to just keep her warm and fed. I did, and also supplemented her with Esbilac q.2 hours with a syringe. She just kept not responding. She died on day 8. It nearly killed me. Looking back, I realized that mom was not as attentive to her as she was the other 3. Her failure to thrive was due to her size and the fact that I think she must have been premature. I was trying everything to save her, and she just didn\'t respond. I think mom knew from the beginning that she was too weak. I hope your baby is still alive now and doing better. Let me know.
