Please pray for us. my Kissi girl came home today, we wanted her to be comfortable in her surroundings, the vet said it could go either way shes in kidney failure. well weve been with her all day and she started to perk up a bit earlier but now i think were nearing the end. shes not drinking anymore, where she was earlier. Ive tried to make her as comfortable as i can, weve given the pain medicine and antibiotics to help her but i just hope shes not hurting anymore. I feel so guilty, i feel like shes upset with us like weve let her down in someway. please pray if shes going to go that god take her quickly so shes not in pain anymore. pray that god heal my heart as im hurting so bad right now, ive never lost a pet and i know im extreamly lucky for that but its just so hard to loose my baby shes only three and will be missed terribly. |

well we made it through the night im just amazed, i really didnt think she would, we all said our goodbys and cried and i slept on the couch next to her. well this morning about six i got up and she was still with us! another day of blessings. shes even more chipper today drank again and actually about five minutes ago had some chicken and rice! about a half a cup full! first thing shes eaten since wedsday! Oh im praying were at a turn around! Now instead of doing a ton of research on how to make her comfortable in her last hours im looking up how to help her survive with kidney failure i know her diet needs changed but thats all i know about so i need to do some more research. Thanks ladies for all the prayers god is wonderful! Megan |

I am sooooooo sorry. :( But she is probably looking up at you with thankful eyes that you have taken such "good" care of her! Well cared dogs I don't think, have negative feelings and you have cared for her well, I am sure! I will be keeping you in my thoughts. I have travelled down the rode of "loss" myself and it is a difficult road to walk on. Sending you positive thoughts! |
I am so very sorry for your situation. I have experienced having a beloved Yorkie with a terminal illness. We had LacieBug for almost 5 years never knowing what day would be her last. My best advice is love Kissi all you can, make her as comfortable as you can and know that you are doing all that is humanly possible for your beloved. I am so, so sorry you are going through this right now. It's so heard to watch your precious baby fading before your eyes. I went through this last year with my beloved little Tigger (MHDSRIP). He also had kidney failure. Is your vet keeping her hydrated with IV fluids? I know this helps to keep them comfortable; Tigger had it every 36-48 hours. Please let the love you have given your precious girl be a comfort to you. I pray she goes gently. Lauren |

we brought her home to be more comfortable so she was off the IV fluids and shes made a bit of improvment, we thought she wouldnt be here this morning but there she was and she drank a ton of water and twice today she had some chicken and rice. she still has her moments when shes super weak and her breathing gets heavy and we get scared but i hope weve crossed the bad times and were making some progress. were praying she stays this well and continues to recover |
