Do they ever wear you out?
 
We love them, we spoil them, we baby them and we show them off. But, come on, 'fess up: Do you ever need a break from your Yorkies?

For 2 1/2 years, I would have answered no. But a recent job change has me busier than ever at work. Sometimes, I need some 'me' time, but those cute little guys always make me feel guilty for taking it.

Even after work and/or school, i still love coming home to wagging tails & millions of kisses. It makes my day better than what it already was. :)

FINE! Make me feel even more guilty! LOL!

Maybe the lingering snow and cold is influencing my opinion right now. I do love coming home to the kisses and hugs. It's just after that, when their energy level is up and I have to take them for a walk in the cold and dark. Or when I decide to sit down and watch something on TV and they demand my complete attention.

Don't get me wrong. I usually give it to them. But sometimes I wish there was an "off" button or a "cuddle" switch.

Yes!!! I say that all the time. I love Gus dearly but he wears me out!!! He has so much energy, barely sleeps at all during the day, won't play with toys by himself, nothing occupies him longer than ten minutes, the most he will sleep is eight hours at night sometimes less and he wants to be with me every minute. I take him on long walks and I swear that gives him more energy. I used to feel guilty about 'me' time but now -- it's been 2 1/2 years here too -- I'm too tired to care. ;)
He wears me out!

Sometimes but its rare. There are those days where I just wanna be alone but one look at that adorable littleface of his and i cave. He makes me smile. but youre right they are a work out!

I ws just thinking about this topic. Mine keep me wore out. Rocco is so hyper and dysfunctional to boot! I need a vacation from them both,any offers??????

yes, lexi does wear me out... especially on the weekdays. when i get home
from work, im so tired i just want to veg out and i cant.. rats!!!!

I'll admit that sometimes they can get on my nerves. Mostly when I'm sewing and trying to get orders out and they keep jumping at my legs and wanting on my lap, but not to settle down - just chew or whatever!!

Before, the answer would have been 'Yes', but lately, Stewie and I just lounge around. He lost a lot of his puppy energy and we like relaxing together. He sits on my lap and I pet him or he lays next to me and we veg out ;)

When he was a baby, he used to keep me up at night and wake me up early. He couldn't entertain himself, either. Now he is content just being next to me and I don't have to entertain him 24/7. I like the new mellow Stew.

I have to agree with you :) My two seem to have their energy days opposite of each other which makes life very off sometimes. Hallie doesn't care to sleep much so she's up late and up early. Some days I can play ball for 2 hours straight with Simon, take him for a 2mile walk and he's still ready to go.

Some days when I get home from work I am just beat but I lay on the floor and throw that ball :)

I couldn't tell you why...knowing I'm not the only one isn't going to get me any extra rest...but it is nice to know I'm not alone. :coffee2:
