Do they ever wear you out? We love them, we spoil them, we baby them and we show them off. But, come on, 'fess up: Do you ever need a break from your Yorkies? For 2 1/2 years, I would have answered no. But a recent job change has me busier than ever at work. Sometimes, I need some 'me' time, but those cute little guys always make me feel guilty for taking it. |
Even after work and/or school, i still love coming home to wagging tails & millions of kisses. It makes my day better than what it already was. :) |

Maybe the lingering snow and cold is influencing my opinion right now. I do love coming home to the kisses and hugs. It's just after that, when their energy level is up and I have to take them for a walk in the cold and dark. Or when I decide to sit down and watch something on TV and they demand my complete attention. Don't get me wrong. I usually give it to them. But sometimes I wish there was an "off" button or a "cuddle" switch. |
Yes!!! I say that all the time. I love Gus dearly but he wears me out!!! He has so much energy, barely sleeps at all during the day, won't play with toys by himself, nothing occupies him longer than ten minutes, the most he will sleep is eight hours at night sometimes less and he wants to be with me every minute. I take him on long walks and I swear that gives him more energy. I used to feel guilty about 'me' time but now -- it's been 2 1/2 years here too -- I'm too tired to care. ;) He wears me out! Thank you, I feel better now. |

NEVER EVER!!!! Fact is, I can never get enough of my little girls. I love them to peices. :D |
Sometimes but its rare. There are those days where I just wanna be alone but one look at that adorable littleface of his and i cave. He makes me smile. but youre right they are a work out! |
I ws just thinking about this topic. Mine keep me wore out. Rocco is so hyper and dysfunctional to boot! I need a vacation from them both, any offers?????? |
yes, lexi does wear me out... especially on the weekdays. when i get home from work, im so tired i just want to veg out and i cant.. rats!!!! she wont let me |
I'll admit that sometimes they can get on my nerves. Mostly when I'm sewing and trying to get orders out and they keep jumping at my legs and wanting on my lap, but not to settle down - just chew or whatever!! |
Before, the answer would have been 'Yes', but lately, Stewie and I just lounge around. He lost a lot of his puppy energy and we like relaxing together. He sits on my lap and I pet him or he lays next to me and we veg out ;) When he was a baby, he used to keep me up at night and wake me up early. He couldn't entertain himself, either. Now he is content just being next to me and I don't have to entertain him 24/7. I like the new mellow Stew. |

Some days when I get home from work I am just beat but I lay on the floor and throw that ball :) |
I couldn't tell you why...knowing I'm not the only one isn't going to get me any extra rest...but it is nice to know I'm not alone. :coffee2: |
Do they ever????? Always...LOL |

Winston rarely wears me out...now that he's 3, he also has mellowed, and I really do enjoy all the time I can spend with him, which is really never enough.:aimeeyork |
It's rare, but sometimes they do wear me out. And it isn't always because they want to play, sometimes it's because they won't stop barking at EVERY LITTLE THING! If we're trying to watch a movie and a dog barks, a doorbell rings, a bird chirps, or whatever... they will run to the TV and bark their little heads off! Sometimes this goes on for hours. So yeah, I admit it...sometimes it wears me out! |
I do get Stressed with Dior. She is sooo active. I dont have any kids, so this is my 1st baby that i had to care for. It do get overwhelming at times, when she wants to play Constantly. And then i got her a brother:D . It helped alot having him around. I do feel guilty at times when i want to be alone, read a book or work out ,but u have to realize u do need time for yourself or u will go crazy. But as annoying as she is i wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. They both give me something to look forward to in the morning. Sweet hugs.:) |
It's not the playing, cuddling, loving that wears me out. I could do that all day. It's all the work involved. Cleaning up after them, grooming, feeding, outside/inside/outside/inside/outside/inside......well, you get the picture. Oh, and chase after one who has something in their mouth that they shouldn't. They then dive under the bed so you can't reach them. Chewing up one more Polly Pocket doll. Running off with one of my Crocs in their mouth. Sneaking a quick poop in the other room when I'm not watching, digging holes in the yard that I now have to fill. Poop scooping the backyard. Laundry upon laundry because there are dog and cat hairs everywhere. Making sure there are blankets always covering the living room furniture. Sweeping and mopping the floor from hair and dog prints. Spilled food, water. Frozen water outside. The loving, cuddling and playing is the easy part. LOL |
Yes, sometimes I need a break. Usually though I love them! It's very rare that I need to get away from them and when I do I'm usually ready to be back with them.:) |
When I get home from school or work, or anywhere else, I can't wait to see Rocky, but sometimes I am tired, or have homework or cleaning to do, so yes I do need some "me" time (if that's even "me" time). Usually he gets the point when I stop playing with him, so if I'm doing homework or something he'll curl up on my lap...or stand on top of my books! |
i voted yes. only because of the barking lol they do bark alot, and in this new house they bark more. not sure why that is but oh well lol |
The only time Keeley drives me crazy is when I am trying to do something important and he keeps putting his toys on whatever I am doing to get my attention. But then again it is pretty dang cute. |
When I used to work full time, I couldn't get enough of my babies! But, now that I am retired, I do get frustrated when they just won't give me a minute to myself. Tucker is perpetual motion, always wants to play. Maddie will lay on my lap for hours. But I wouldn't trade them for the world! |
