Yorkie Playdates Does your Yorkie ever go to playdates with other yorkies or small dogs? I was just wondering lol. |
Mocha goes to visit her aunt Ruby who is a yorkie (My grandparents dog) and she goes and plays with Max and Sophie (My friends Malteses) and she now has began going to the park with Cole (the dog upstairs, he's a Boston Terrier) She also plays with the my cat who now is at my parents house |
Alex doesn't go to play dates, because there aren't any small dogs around. Plus, sometimes he isn't really into playing with other dogs. The only small dog he knows is my folks. Plus, my boyfriends parents westie and he isn't little or calm... most of the time I am worried he is going to get hurt with their dog... |
Sammy & Bayley play with my mom's dog Pepper. I get them together with a of couple of my friends dogs, 2 shiz tzus, but Bayley doesn't get along well with either of them. Sammy plays for a few minutes then wants to be left alone. |
No Stephanie she does n't, but that is such a good idea. Maybe then Mya will stop nuzzling up to the cat next door and trying to get the squirrels to like her. Just after our walk in the ravine out back my husband pointed out the baby skunk on the bicycle path. I am glad she didn't see that cute critter! I was going to check out the K9 training centre just to get her around more dogs. It would be better if she was around more smaller dogs since she already has experience with our large Pom and hound dogs. i wish there were small dogs around here for lexi to go on a play date. Even in her puppy class that we go to she is the smallest, the trainer uses her as the example all the time b/c we are afraid she will get hurt. She is only 2.2 lbs and most of the dogs int here are about 8-10 lbs. I wish we could go on play dates :( |
Of Course! Bella is only 3 lbs and we take her to play with other small yorkies all the time. We have a few friends that we get together with at quiet parks where we can let them run around and play together. I'm getting another yorkie tomorrow though so that Bella always has a play date :) I even take her to other larger parks where she can meet (but not play with) bigger dogs. I think it's good to have your yorkie well-socialized. |
Pookie and Boo Boo don't have play dates with other dogs, but they play with each other all the time. In fact, the reason we got Boo Boo was so that Pookie would have another dog to play with. |
My mom's friend has charlies sister, so ever since we got them every time we go to each others houses we bring our dogs so they can play. They absoutley love to play together if i say "wanna go see Josie"(his sisters name) he gets all excited and comes right over to me! |
sebastain and jasmine play togather but if sebastain doenst want to play jasmine plays with 2 of my cats they are barley 1 i love to watch them play it is so funny except jasmine thinks she is a cat also :rolleyes: |
The only play date Ralphie had was with a yorkie twice his size..he ran the bigger one all around the house, cause the bigger one was scared of him! Ralphies 2 companions are 2 goldens.. |
Lucy has loads af other yorkies to play with, there are 8 (that we know of!) including 2 puppies that use the same park as us and I know of 2 more people in our area who are getting yorkie pups too! Yay!!! :D |
Duncan has play dates but they tend to be with Mollie dogs friends he has no problem with that as he likes rough and tumble with the big guys :D |
I put yes sometimes- Beacuse I just went to one with the lady( Maggie) she is a YT member I had gotten Tommy from and a friend she knew and I met at my sons T-ball game there were 6 Yorkies there it was great and hope to do it some more :D :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :D |
