We've had puppy play dates with some friends a few time. Tuffy doesn't get along too well with other dogs so I'm always trying to socialize him with others so he'll stop being such a pill. So far he's had playdates with a Bichon (who hated Tuffy), two Boston Terriers (Tuffy was scared of them and they were indifferent to him) and a Chihuahua (who tolerated Tuffy). As soon as Pixie is totally protected with her vaccines I'll be taking her to play with the two Boston Terriers and see if she'll get along with them. :) |
Riley doesn't go on play dates because he hates to leave the house. We want him to get used to other dogs and to have a friend/sibling so we are looking for another Yorkie. Yay! |
sadly there are no small dogs near me....... i take toby to the dog park once in a while (small dog park) BUT he is such a chicken s**t when it comes to other dogs :( i really feel bad, because he has been well socialized (he gets aloong with my moms dogs great and they are over 100 lbs.....) but i guess he is more of a people person? |
I have no dogs around pebbles but when its the summer I am getting another dog as her playmate! |
Never - and that's too bad, but there are no small dogs around here :( That's why we got the second dog - so they could play with each other :) Mette |
Bella has play dates all the time and I take her to the dog park a couple times a week. If you are having problems finding a play date for your pups, I suggest your join www.meetup.com and find a group or create one by your area so that your little ones can play with other little ones! Check out the links in my signature and you can get an idea of what its all about. :animal-sm |
We belong to the San Diego Yorkie Meetup and we have playdates with a friend of our mom;s who has a yorkie. We go to Dante's house. We go to the mall (there are always other little dogs there! Of course we have 4 dogs just at our house plus the cat who thinks she\'s a dog and when Buddha\'shere that\'s one more. Cap\'n Hef and Princess Chai |
